| Amid an FCC probe into whether streaming’s expanding role in sports media is harming consumers and broadcast TV, the NFL met Friday with senior regulators to defend its media-rights strategy, according to The Wall Street Journal. He also emphasized that 87% of NFL games still air on traditional broadcasters – CBS, NBC, Fox, and ABC. “Even as we’ve gone on to new platforms like Netflix or Amazon…we are doing so in a very selective and appropriate way,” said Schroeder. |
