| AMC Networks placed an early season two order for “The Audacity.” Season one of the Silicon Valley-set, darkly comedic drama, created by Jonathan Glatzer (“Succession”), kicks off Sunday, April 12 on AMC and AMC+.
Also coming back is “Doc,” with a 22-episode third season order. The Fox medical drama is averaging 7.4 million multiplatform viewers, a +193% jump from its Live + Same Day numbers.
On the daytime front, “The Drew Barrymore Show” has been renewed for seasons seven and eight by stations owned by CBS, Nexstar and Sinclair. “Drew is the original influencer – a true trendsetter and culture-driving force who has consistently stayed ahead of the conversation,” said Jason Kurtz, executive producer.
“Saturday Night Live UK”, kicking off across the pond on March 21, will be available on Peacock the following day. The British version of NBC’s long-running sketch comedy show is being produced by Universal Television Alternative Studio’s UK production team.
NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises and Telemundo Station Group have launched a monthly series of bilingual voter‑education phone banks, held on the second Tuesday of every month, to support Hispanic voters ahead of the 2026 midterms. The Hispanic Federation serves as the inaugural 2026 partner.

A live-action series about “Peter Pan” character Tinker Bell is in the works at Disney+. Liz Heldens and Bridget Carpenter (“Friday Night Lights”) are attached as writers and executive producers for 20th Television project “Tink.”
Mike Flanagan (“The Fall of the House of Usher”) has inked an overall deal with Amazon MGM Studios to develop and produce original series via his Red Room Pictures. Flanagan’s “Carrie” is set to debut on Prime Video this fall.
Jeff Daniels (“The Newsroom”) will play a self-made billionaire in a major recurring role on upcoming season five of Apple TV’s “The Morning Show.” Daniels is also recurring on Apple TV comedy “Shrinking.”
UCP landed rights to adapt podcast “Wisecrack” for television. Eli Jorné will write, with Eat the Cat executive producing alongside Tenderfoot TV, iHeartMedia and Starwipe Productions. The series is based on the true story of stand-up comedian Edd Hedges, who returned to his hometown for a charity gig, only to find himself caught up in a murder spree.
Warm Springs Productions (“Mountain Men”) has launched a new faith-focused film and TV banner, Steadfast Collective, to capitalize on the growing demand for faith-inspired programming. The label will develop and produce docudramas, formats, reality series, microdramas and films for global audiences. “Faith-based storytelling is one of the most underserved and fastest-growing audiences globally,” said Bridger Pierce, President of Warm Springs Productions. “Steadfast Collective is designed to deliver content that honors Scripture, respects the audience, and meets the production standards major platforms expect.” Filmmaker David L. Cunningham (“To End All Wars”) has joined as executive producer and lead creative partner.
KidsKnowBest, the data-driven youth insights and influencer strategy company, announced a minority investment from kids’ entertainment specialist CAKE. The deal reflects a shared ambition to connect youth audience intelligence with global IP development and distribution. |
