| Think small: US users spend more time per day watching microdramas on mobile apps than Netflix, Disney+ or Amazon Prime Video on mobile devices, according to Omdia’s analysis of 4Q25 mobile usage data. Omdia predicts that by year’s end, the US will account for 50% of all microdrama revenues – expected to hit $14 billion – outside of China. Microdramas are typically 1-2 minutes in length and vertically formatted.
Hulu has greenlit a pilot for a reboot of “The X-Files,” the 1993-2002 series from Chris Carter. Ryan Coogler (“The Sinners”) is writing and directing the pilot, focused on two FBI agents, with Danielle Deadwyler (“The Woman in the Yard”) set as a co-lead.

| The third and final season of HBO’s “The Comeback,” starring Lisa Kudrow (“Friends”) as a fading sitcom actress, will kick off Sunday, March 22. Kudrow’s son, Julian Stern, will make his on-screen TV debut in a recurring role.
Apple TV picked up Israeli thriller “Unconditional,” based on a true story about a mother and daughter whose vacation turns deadly when the daughter is arrested in Moscow for drug smuggling. The show premieres Friday, May 8 with the first two episodes. |
Season two of “Wonderpets: In The City” debuts Friday, March 20 on Apple TV. The animated preschool show follows classroom pets who travel the globe to rescue animals.
ABC’s “The Bachelorette” is back for season 22 on Sunday, March 22 at 8p. Among the contenders vying for roses from Taylor Frankie Paul (“The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives”) are a loan officer, a lifeguard, a pro baseball player and a cowboy. Paul is the first Bachelorette not to have appeared on a previous season of “The Bachelor.”
All Women’s Sports Network (AWSN) announced the debut of women’s professional boxing, live on Saturday, February 28 at 5p. The two-hour “Queen of the Ring” broadcast will feature a trio of women’s boxing bouts. |

| SSP OpenX launched prioritized access to curated, political-approved inventory designed for the 2026 midterms. The offering enables values-based voter targeting across all screens, with campaigns live in under 24 hours. Additionally, OpenX announced a partnership with Givsly, integrating first-party, privacy-safe data from participating organizations in its database of over 500 nonprofits to construct voter audiences based on shared values. “As regulation tightens and publishers limit automated political buying, access to premium inventory is finite,” said Amanda Forrester, SVP, Marketing and Communications at OpenX. “OpenX is the only platform offering direct publisher supply across all formats, including CTV, combined with a new values-based targeting approach designed to drive results.”

| NBC averaged 24 million viewers across its afternoon and primetime Olympics coverage through Friday, according to Nielsen and Adobe Analytics – up +94% over the 2022 Beijing Games.
The USA vs. Canada men’s gold medal final on Sunday averaged 24.6 million viewers, according to AdImpact, with viewership evenly split between linear and streaming platforms. Peacock and other streaming apps accounted for 32% of the total audience, while YouTube and YouTube TV made up 18%.
