Season 4 of Mozart in the Jungle launches on Amazon Friday, February 16. “New melodies arise as Rodrigo (Gael Garcia Bernal) and Hailey (Lola Kirke) take their relationship public,” says Amazon.
 
Guy’s Big Project, the Food Network search for the next big culinary-travel series, produced not one, but 2 new food road shows. Greenlit were The Grill Dads, launching Friday, December 15 at 9:30p, and Eat, Sleep, BBQ, debuting Saturday, December 16 at 9p.
 
MTV promises the new season of Catfish: The TV Show will “detangle the deepest, darkest Catfish webs in franchise history.” Fun begins on Wednesday, January 3 at 10p.
 
Aspire is launching a series of specials, Idols Icons + Influencers, in partnership with ABFF Studios. A.J. Calloway (Extra) will host, as well as moderate questions from a “town hall” audience. Director, writer and producer Malcolm D. Lee (Girls Trip) kicks things off as guest on Saturday, December 16 at 8p.

DIGITAL DOINGS
 
The National Football League and Verizon struck a multi-year partnership in which Verizon’s portfolio of digital and mobile media properties, including Yahoo Sports, will stream in-market and national games – national pre-season, regular season, playoff games, and the Super Bowl, nationwide. Though  Verizon has had exclusive mobile rights since 2010, non-Verizon users will also be able to stream the events. The partnership kicks off in January 2018 with streaming of the NFL playoffs on Yahoo and Yahoo Sports, in addition to go90 and the NFL mobile app. “We’re making a commitment to fans for Verizon’s family of media properties to become the mobile destination for live sports,” said Lowell McAdam, chairman and CEO of Verizon Communications.
 
 
KIDS CORNER
 
Kids video streaming service Boomerang is now available on Amazon Channels. Prime members can add the channel for $4.99.
 
The producers of Iftah Ya Simsim, an Arabic version of Sesame Street, have joined YouTube’s Creators for Change initiative, a global effort to amplify the voices of YouTube role models who tackle social issues with their YouTube channels. “We believe in the power of starting early and starting right,” said Dr. Cairo Arafat, managing director of the show’s producer, Bidaya Media.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine will make its syndication debut on TBS, beginning with the pilot on Thursday, January 4 at 7p. The show will air consecutive episodes every Thursday from 7p-11p.
