Good news for Howard Stern fans. The SiriusXM radio host is heading back to America’s Got Talent when it returns for its 10th season on NBC. In a statement posted on the show’s Facebook Page, Stern said, "I decided that a life without AGT is not worth living. America needs a caring, compassionate and wise judge, and who am I to deny the people what they want?"
Bad news for ABC‘s Dancing With the Stars fans. If the reality dance competition makes it to Season 21, it will be without one of its longtime judges. Len Goodman told reporters over the weekend that his days with the show will end after its upcoming springtime run. E News! confirmed the exit, but ABC has yet to comment. Goodman also said he has bowed out of UK’s Strictly Come Dancing January/February 2015 tour, but has no plans to leave the SCD judging post.
Sons of Anarchy creator/showrunner Kurt Sutter joins Charlie Hunnam and surprise guests on the final Anarchy Afterword, airing immediately after the series finale of Sons of Anarchy tonight at 11p on FX.
The search is over! The fans have voted and named James O’Halloran the winner of the nationwide male model search on The Price Is Right. The 30-year-old industrial designer, who grew up watching the Australian version of the popular game show, begins his week-long modeling gig on Monday, December 15 at 11a on CBS.
Michael Strahan has been tapped to host The 20th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards. The two-hour show broadcasts live from the Hollywood Palladium on January 15 at 9p on A&E. Said Strahan, “‘The Critics’ Choice Movie Awards’ show paves the way for the upcoming awards season, and the best part is that the winners are selected by the very people who make a living watching and reviewing films. It doesn’t get much more competitive than that.”
AXS TV has acquired lifestyle reality series Celebrity Sweat. The show, hosted by Eric Fleishman (aka Eric the Trainer), explores how celebrities, athletes and entertainers stay fit. Look for the premiere on Saturday, January 10 at 1p.
The 46th NAACP Image Awards nomination announcement and press conference will be streamed live for the first time this year at www.naacpimageawards.net, this morning at 6a. The event takes place at The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills, CA. Scheduled to appear are Tracee Ellis Ross, Gina Rodriguez, Jason George, Alfred Enoch, Aja Naomi King, Tessa Thompson, and Cornell William Brooks, with special commentary from Nischelle Turner and Jake Smollett.
FXX has ordered a seventh and final season of The League. Nick Grad and Eric Schrier, Presidents of Original Programming, FX Networks and FX Productions, announced the news, noting that the comedy series will return with its last 13 episodes in the fall of 2015. “Our gang can burn a beach house like Calvin Johnson on a secondary, but I shudder to think what they’ll do in the final battle for the Shiva,” said Grad. “The real studs here are the fans who have remained so loyal to the show over the years, including the move to FXX, and for them we are going out on top.”
It’s the last call for CBC’s homegrown P.I. drama Republic of Doyle. The series wraps its sixth and final season with a special two-hour finale on Wednesday, December 10 at 8p. The drama debuted in 2010.
Home & Family‘s Mark Steines and Cristina Ferrare host a Knots Landing reunion on Thursday, December 11 at 10a on Hallmark Channel. Cast confirmed to be on hand are Donna Mills, Joan Van Ark, Michele Lee, Ted Shackelford and Kevin Dobson. Lee performs the holiday favorite Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. Dobson and Shackelford help Ferrare make an angel food cake. With the aid of cutting edge technology, Science Channel takes viewers to the crumbling tombs, palaces and ruins of the Holy Land, in search of ancient intrigues. The four-part special premieres Sunday, December 14 at 9p and continues on Monday, December 15 at 8p.
Music Choice is featuring American Country Countdown Awards Nominees in its NASH TV Video On Demand category. Music videos from ACCA nominees include Dierks Bentley, Eric Church, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw, Zac Brown Band and more. It will be available nationally for free to over 57 million customers through December 14. Florida Georgia Line’s Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard will host the live music on Monday, December 15 at 8p on Fox.
TV One‘s hit crime drama Fatal Attraction returns for a third season on Monday, January 5 at 10p. The series is set to air 30 new episodes featuring real-life stories of criminal acts committed in the name of love.
Jamie Lee Curtis has nabbed a lead role on Scream Queens, FOX’s new comedy-horror anthology series from American Horror Story‘s Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Ian Brennan and Dante Di Loreto. Emma Roberts has also boarded the series, which is set to debut in Fall 2015.
Luke Wilson (Old School, The Royal Tenenbaums) and Imogen Poots (The Look of Love) are set to star in the Showtime one-hour comedy pilot Roadies, which follows the daily life of a successful rock tour as seen through the eyes of the crew members. Keisha Castle-Hughes (Whale Rider), Rafe Spall (One Day) and Peter Cambor (NCIS: Los Angeles) have also joined the ensemble cast.
Maggie Siff (Sons of Anarchy) has joined the cast of the Showtime drama pilot Billions. She’ll play central character Wendy Rhoades, the wife of U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti).
Austin Butler (Carrie Diaries) has landed the male lead in MTV‘s Shannara. The drama, based on Terry Brooks’ books, explores a world set thousands of years after the destruction of civilization as we know it. Butler will play Wil, who is half human and half elf.

TNT’s two-hour premiere of The Librarians drew 5.4 million viewers on Sunday night, passing fellow Turner drama The Last Ship as the cable’s top new series premiere of 2014. Among the demos, The Librarians averaged 2.1 million adults 25-54 and 2.3 million adults 18-49.
Leading up to its series finale, Sons of Anarchy saw a 212% increase in social engagement over the previous week, with a 192% growth on Facebook, 1,283% on Twitter and 249% on Instagram, driving them to the third spot in the overall rankings. Today Show‘s engagement grew 124% due to their coverage of the NYC tree lighting and posts promoting the event.
