For the ninth consecutive year, the SEC on CBS was the highest-rated regular-season college football package on any network. CBS Sports’ coverage of the season averaged household rating/share of 3.0/7, according to Nielson national ratings.
Driven by record-setting ratings for “Countdown to Christmas,” Hallmark Channel became the highest rated and most watched network on cable among W18-49 and W25-54 for the month of November. The network made a strong transition into December with its recent original holiday movie premieres averaging a 3.4 Household rating, 700,000 W25-54 and 3.0 million Total Viewers.

DISH Network Chairman Charlie Ergen left his post as Chief Executive Officer to devote more attention to the company’s wireless business. Erik Carlson, previously President and Chief Operating Officer, was upped to President and CEO.
Joey Sabella was named Vice President of Sales, The Americas, Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution. He joins from eOne, where he was Head of Sales, United States and Latin America.
Marcus Wolter is stepping down as CEO of Endemol Shine Germany and Chairman, Endemol Shine Northern Europe in January. Boudewijn Beusmans will take over as Chairman, Northern Europe in addition to his role as Joint CEO of Endemol Shine Netherlands. As for Endemol Shine Germany, its CFO Ute Marz; Head of Strategic Development, Gabi Abegg; and Director of Reality and Docu, Rainer Laux, will lead local business for an interim period until a full-time successor is appointed.
Joshua Grode was appointed CEO of Legendary Entertainment. He was previously a partner in the Los Angeles office of Irell & Manells and a co-chair of the firm’s Transactions Practice.
