BODYARMOR is in as the Official Sports Drink of NCAA championships, including March Madness, beginning in 2019. The new deal will see the brand’s logo seen on coolers, cups, water bottles and on sidelines and bench areas at NCAA championships. “The NCAA has 90 exhilarating championships, including March Madness, one of the most exciting events in all of sports, and we are thrilled that BODYARMOR is going to be the hydration brand for teams and student-athletes participating in NCAA championships,” said Mike Repole, founder and chairman, BODYARMOR.
 
 
ON THE AIR

NBC Sports Group is gearing up for the 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Championship with a multi-platform promotional campaign spotlighting this year’s Championship Four contenders: Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick, Martin Truex Jr., and Joey Logano. Throughout the week, NASCAR’s Championship Four will make appearances across NBCUniversal’s television and digital platforms ahead of the race on Sunday at 3p on NBC. Among the programming elements will see TODAY with Kathie Lee and Hoda broadcast live from Miami Beach this morning with TODAY anchors Kathie Lee Gifford and Sheinelle Jones joined on Miami Beach by the four contenders. Last night saw the drivers race remote control race cars on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Actor Josh Dallas, from NBC’s Manifest, will serve as the Grand Marshal ahead of Sunday’s Championship race. In addition, NBC Sports will see aerial advertising banners for the race above the beaches of Miami while its social media team will leverage Snapchat’s new partner curation tool to “fuel the excitement and coverage” surrounding Sunday’s race.
 
The NFL locked in schedule changes for Week 13 and Week 14 of the regular season, announcing that the Dec. 2 showdown between the Chargers/Steelers originally scheduled for 1p on CBS will now move to 8:20 PM ET on NBC. Additionally, the 49ers/Seahawks game will move from 8:20p on NBC to 4:25p on FOX. Week 14 will now see the Rams/Bears game slated for 1p on FOX move to primetime at 8:20p on NBC. The Steelers/Raiders matchup slated for SNF will move to 4:25p on FOX.
 
The College Football Playoff showcased the lineup of national recording artists scheduled to perform at AT&T Playoff Playlist Live!, the CFP’s signature concert series running January 4-6 in San Jose. The series opens with performances by Alessia Caraand Brynn Elliott, with Logic, Leon Bridges and Jay Rock set for Jan. 5, while the final night features OneRepublic and Ellie Goulding.
 
Calgary is taking itself out of the running for a bid for the 2026 Winter Olympics after balloting saw 56% of Tuesday voters opted against hosting the Games. The decision leaves Stockholm and a joint Cortina d’Ampezzo/Milan bid as finalists for the event. IOC members will vote in June to decide the 2026 Winter Olympic host city.
 
Showtime PPV’s showdown between WBC Heavyweight World Champion Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury on Dec. 1 is getting the big screen treatment. Fathom events announced that the battle will be offered in more than 400 select movie theaters through Fathom’s Digital Broadcast Network “The fight world has been waiting for an epic heavyweight battle like this for more than 10 years,” said Ray Nutt, Fathom Events CEO. “We are proud to partner with Showtime to give fight fans the opportunity to view, right from their local cinemas, what is certain to be an awesome spectacle.”
 
Speaking of winter sports, X Games Aspen 2019 is adding three completely new medaled disciplines to the lineup – Snowboard Knuckle Huck, Adaptive Snow BikeCross and Para Snow BikeCross. For more than 10 years X Games has featured adaptive disciplines at both summer and winter X Games events. Mono Skier X was introduced in 2007, and since then X Games has staged several Adaptive Snowboarder X, Snowmobile SnoCross and Moto X Racing disciplines.

Champion will outfit the Globetrotters with all of their on-court and travel apparel, which includes player uniform, warm-ups, t-shirts, jackets, pants, hoodies, jerseys, shorts and socks. The deal also provides Champion with the opportunity to sell official Globetrotter apparel in their existing stores and retailers worldwide. 
 
 
DIGITAL & STREAMING

Integrated Sports Media signed an exclusive agreement to distribute DAZN programming to commercial establishments in the US. ISM will be responsible for distributing DAZN programming in the U.S. to bars, restaurants, casinos and sports books. “We’re thrilled to distribute DAZN programming in the U.S. market and help grow its reach across the country,” ISM president Doug Jacobs said. “We have a signed deal to distribute DAZN’s world-class combat sports programming like Golden Boy Promotions, Bellator MMA and Matchroom Boxing.”
 
The Players’ Tribune partnered with John Hancock and CBS Sports Digital for a new video series, titled The Long Game. The series sees NFL rookies Phillip Lindsay, Dante Pettis, James Washington, Saquon Barkley, Calvin Ridley, and Sony Michel discuss about their passions off the field and stress the importance of thoughtfully planning for retirement. Episodes will live on TPT, John Hancock, CBS Sports OOO and social channels.
