PRODUCTION & DEVELOPMENT
 
Delivery, a family drama from new parents Kristin Newman (The Muppets) and Rob Wright (Lethal Weapon), has been put into development at NBC. Project hails from ABC Studios and Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine banner. Newman and Wright teamed to write the script during the three months they spent living in a hospital labor and delivery ward, following the birth of their daughter, who was 10-weeks early.
 
Suspense thriller Salvation earned a second season renewal from CBS. The net issued a 13-episode order; season will launch during summer 2018.
 
Things just got better for Better Things. The FX series was renewed for a third season, to air in 2018.
 
FOX issued a put pilot commitment to Daddy Issues. The comedy, from actress/writer Erin Foster and New Girl creator Liz Meriwether, centers around the relationship of a womanizing father and his adult daughters.
 
Blumhouse Television and military media brand We Are the Mighty are collaborating to produce Searching for Bergdahl. The documentary focuses on the soldiers involved in the nearly five-year search for missing U.S. Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl, who recently pled guilty to desertion and misbehavior before the enemy.
 
CBS TV Studios’ legal thriller Your Honor landed a series commitment at Showtime. Based on the Israeli drama Your Honor (Kyodo), drama follows the son of a respected judge who is involved in a hit and run.
 
Empire co-creator Danny Strong has new project pending at FOX. The net gave a put pilot commitment to Operation Nexus, from 20th Century Fox TV and Danny Strong Productions, which centers on members of the NYPD’s Counter Terrorist Unit.
 
Bron Studios acquired the rights to Sara Blaedel’s bestselling crime fiction book series, which focuses on police detective Louise Rick. The plan is to adapt the novels into TV series.
 
Electus struck a partnership with author, investigative journalist and tech blogger Jamie Bartlett to take several high-profile projects to market next month.

HGTV’s Fixer Upper, featuring Chip and Joanna Gaines, returns for its fifth and final season on Tuesday, November 21 at 9p.
 
Crime drama Bellevue bows Tuesday, January 23 at 10p on WGN America….Drop The Mic premieres on TBS on Tuesday, October 24 at 10:30p….At Home with Amy Sedaris debuts Tuesday, October 24 at 10:30p with back-to-back episodes on truTV….The Untitled Action Bronson Show debuts Monday, October 23 at 11:30p  on Viceland.
 
Bring It! and The Rap Game head back to Lifetime Friday, November 24. Bring It! bows at 9p, with an all-day best-of marathon leading into the new season starting at 7a. The Rap Game airs at 10p.

Cozi TV launches its third annual Munster marathon on Saturday, October 28 at 12p.
 
Flint, the film inspired by the Time Magazine cover story, “The Toxic Tap,” bows Saturday, October 28 at 8p on Lifetime. Queen Latifah, Jill Scott (Steel Magnolias), Betsy Brandt (Breaking Bad) and Marin Ireland (Sneaky Pete) star.
 
ID kicks off December with the world premieres of two movies. Dating Game Killer bows Sunday, December 3 at 8p, followed by Final Vision on Sunday, December 10 at 8p.
 
Fuse airs a commemorative broadcast of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella, starring Brandy and Whitney Houston, on Thursday, November 2 at 8p. The made-for-television movie first aired 20 years ago in 1997.
 
American Heroes Channel and People partnered with the Welles Remy Crowther Charitable Trust to present the 2017 Red Bandanna Hero Award in memory of the 9/11 hero known as “The Man in the Red Bandana.” This year’s winner is retired Navy Seal Lieutenant Jason “Jay” Redman, founder of the Combat Wounded Coalition. The special, 9/11 Hero: The Red Bandanna Leagacy, airs Saturday, October 28 at 10p on AHC.

Titulares y Mas ended the 2016-2017 season as the highest-rated sports studio show in Spanish-language television among A18-49 and Total Viewers, according to Nielsen. The Telemundo Deportes nightly sports and entertainment show averaged 266,000 A18-49 and 478,000 Total Viewers.
 
The Season 8 premiere of Discovery’s Gold Rush was the #1 non-sports telecast on TV on Friday, topping all broadcasting programming across M25-54, M18-49 and M18-34.
