Dr. Phil (3.4 Live+SD national Nielsen rating, up 3% from the week before) posted its strongest numbers since the week of May 1. Ellen DeGeneres (2.2, unchanged) placed second, followed by Live with Kelly and Ryan (2.1, unchanged).
Daily Mail TV (1.0, up 11%), which premiered the week before as the highest rated new magazine in a decade, improved by double-digits and easily led all new first-run shows among households in week two. Page Six TV (0.7, steady) surged 25% among W25-54 to a 0.5 and tied rival Daily Mail in the key demo for the first time. It also clocked new series highs in nine of the top ten market for the session ending October 8 and edged Daily Mail in both ratings (0.8/2 to 0.7/2) and key demos (0.5/3 to 0.4/2) for its primary metered market runs.
The return of Velocity’s Wheeler Dealers and Bitchin’ Rides jump started the network’s fall programming slate with record ratings last week. The 14th season premiere of Wheeler Dealers became the series most watched season launch ever among HHs, M18+, M25-54, M18-49, P2+ and P25-54 with the episode being watched by more than 613,000 P2+. Bitchin’ Rides first episode was 14th in its timeslot on ad-supported cable for M25-54 and M18+.
Hallmark Channel’s premiere of All of My Heart: Inn Love ranked as its highest rated program for the week on cable, with the exception of sports and news. The original movie averaged 2.6 HH rating and 2.8 million Total Viewers.
In preliminary Live+SD ratings, The CW’s Supergirl returned with 1.86 million viewers, 0.4/2 in A18-34 and 0.5/2 in A18-49. Valor debuted with 1.2 million viewers, 0.2/1 in A18-34 and 0.3/1 among A18-49.
