Late night hosts Stephen Colbert (The Colbert Report), Jimmy Fallon (The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon) and Jimmy Kimmel (Jimmy Kimmel Live) join the roster of presenters for an Emmys that awards telecast and Late Night host Seth Meyers promises will be “upbeat and fun.” Find out Monday, August 25 at 8p on NBC.
The fun actually started before the show even began, with a promo for the Emmys that features nominees Julia Louis-Dreyfus (VEEP) and Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul in a send-up of pawn shop reality shows. The 6-minute clip has Louis-Dreyfus attempting to pawn an Emmy from her Seinfeld days, which fails to impress the owners of Barely Legal Pawn. “You know what they say, comedy is easy, drama is hard,” drawls Paul. Video comes from Audi of America, a sponsor of this year’s awards show.
