PVH Corp. unveiled a new campaign for its Van Heusen brand, which will include a partnership with UFC. The deal makes Van Heusen as UFC’s first-ever “Official Men’s Dress Furnishings Provider,” with UFC bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw and UFC welterweight contender Stephen Thompson starring in a new commercial highlighting the Van Heusen Flex collection of men’s shirts and pants, which incorporates stretch features to give men a “corporate business-like look without sacrificing the range of motion or comfort found in casual clothing.” The commercial and campaign creative will be placed across national and local cable television, including NFL Network, Comedy Central, FOX Sports 1 and TruTV; programmatic and Pay-Per-View shows; video on-demand on Hulu, DirecTV Now, Sling TV and Roku; digital advertising spanning news and sports websites like Bleacher/Report and ESPN; and display ads on select retailer sites.
Elk Grove Village signed a deal to become the title sponsor of the Makers Wanted Bahamas Bowl, which will be played Dec. 21 in Nassau. This marks the first time a non-tourist municipality has ever sponsored a bowl game. “Elk Grove Village is home to the largest industrial park in the United States, spurred by our village’s commitment to being beyond business-friendly,” said Elk Grove Village Mayor Craig Johnson. “Our relationship with the Makers Wanted Bahamas Bowl and ESPN Events is a perfect opportunity to use college football to share our message with the entire country. We were impressed by how the bowl game has been developed in the Bahamas over the past four years, and we share in the excitement that this event brings to their community.”

The Rugby Weekend announced that Guinness would serve as the Official Beer of Ireland vs. Italy at the upcoming rugby tripleheader. The Rugby Weekend will take place on Nov. 3 with a return to Chicago’s Soldier Field, pitting talent from USA Men’s and Women’s teams, New Zealand’s Maori All Blacks and Black Ferns, along with European squads, Ireland and Italy. Guinness will also take on the Naming Rights sponsorship of the Event’s Official FanFest, which will feature the Guinness Gig Rig as well as an exclusive corporate hospitality zone.
Monumental Sports & Entertainment reached a multi-year agreement with KETTLER, which includes the full naming rights of the 200-level at the newly renovated Capital One Arena. Other elements to the agreement include brand integration during Washington Capitals and Wizards games as well as an integrative radio partnership, digital billboard advertising opportunities, and exciting experiential opportunities for KETTLER partners and apartment residents. The move will enable KETTLER to reach a broad demographic of people who attend Capitals hockey games, Wizards and Mystics basketball games, and arena football games with the Washington Valor and Baltimore Brigade, along with all other concerts, sports and entertainment events at the arena.
FloSports inked a multiyear deal with the Western Collegiate Hockey Association to live stream every game hosted by the WCHA Women’s League exclusively on FloHockey.tv. The news follows FloSports’ recent announcement to also live stream every WCHA Men’s League game on the platform. Overall, FloSports will now carry more than 260 WCHA games annually on its OTT platform.
CBS Sports is offering voice-enabled fantasy football advice for the Google Assistant ahead of the upcoming season. Fantasy players can simply ask the Assistant, on smart speakers like Google Home, phones and other devices with the Google Assistant built in, for advice on drafting specific players and, once the season starts, for week-to-week lineup guidance. The Assistant will offer advice based on CBS Sports Fantasy expert rankings and SportsLine data and projections.
