Turn continues to attract a dedicated and distinctively upscale audience across multiple platforms.” In fact, Turn ranked as the third most affluent scripted drama among A18-49 and A25-54 on ad-supported television in the 2014-15 season, behind Mad Men and FX’s The Americans.

In a new filing with the FCC, Netflix gave a thumbs up to Charter’s purchase of Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks, in exchange for free usage of Charter’s network through 2018. “Charter’s new peering policy is a welcome and significant departure from the efforts of some ISPs to collect excess tolls to the Internet,” wrote Christopher Libertelli, VP of global public policy at Netflix. “This new policy and the commitment to apply it across the ‘New Charter’ footprint is a substantial public-interest benefit and will support scaling the Internet to meet consumers’ growing demand for online services and help foster continued innovation across the Internet ecosystem.”

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump elected to release a financial disclosure form with the FCC. Included: net worth in excess of TEN BILLION DOLLARS (his caps, not ours). In addition, says the document, after NBC renewed The Apprentice, “Mr. Trump decided to turn them down in order to run for President of the United States. NBC was not happy. During the 14 seasons of The Apprentice, Mr. Trump was paid $213,606.575.”  The average cost of a 30-second spot on The Apprentice during the 2014-2015 season was under $65,000, according to Variety.
