FOX Sports revealed its lineup of talent for the new college football season, with play-by-play announcer Gus Johnson and analyst Joel Klatt returning for their third season together in the booth as the company’s lead college football voices, where they will be joined by Jenny Taft. Also teaming for microphone duties will be play-by-play announcer Joe Davis and analyst Brady Quinn, joined by sideline reporter Bruce Feldman. Play-by-play announcer Tim Brando and analyst Spencer Tillman also return in 2017 and are joined on the sidelines by Holly Sonders to make up a third team. Host Rob Stone is in studio for pregame, halftime and postgame coverage on FOX and FS1, joined by analysts Matt Leinart, Robert Smith; and Dave Wannstedt.
Feherty is celebrating its 100th episode with a 90-minute special on July 24 at 9p on Golf Channel. The ep will feature conversations with the likes of Lee Trevino – the series’ very first guest – John Daly and Gary McCord, and be filmed in front of a live audience, with personalized messages from names wishing Feherty a “Happy 100th,” including: US Presidents George W. Feature segments on the wishes will run on SportsCenter, with a new feature debuting daily. Chris Connelly will once again host the series.
An appeals court ruled that a committee of Major League Baseball owners and executives are able to legally determine the amount of rights fees the Washington National are able to earn from TV rights. The decision marks the latest step in a dispute between the Nationals and the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network, which is controlled by the Orioles.
In other RSN news, YES Network reports that average total viewership for the channel’s New York Yankees game telecasts through the first half of the 2017 season grew 57% year-over-year in the New York DMA to mark YES’ highest first-half viewership for Yankees telecasts in five years. Meanwhile, viewership among Persons 18-49 has grown by 73% year-over-year.
ACC Commissioner John Swofford told reporters that the league’s upcoming linear channel is “right on schedule” for its 2019 debut. Swofford said the network progress is “currently at a stage and timetable with ESPN where it won’t be prudent to discuss the specific business aspects until the network launch.” “I think our schools are tremendously bullish on our future as a league,” he added, per the Charlotte Observer, “and that television agreement is a big part of the future of our league.”

Formula One is partnering with Snapchat to share fan-produced videos and pictures at a selection of upcoming grands prix, according to ESPN. “Our Stories, one of three types of content on Snapchat’s Discover platform, are compilations of Snaps submitted from Snapchatters at events and locations around the world, and curated by teams of editors and producers at Snapchat,” the org said in a press release. “Our Stories allow Snapchatters at the same event to contribute their unique perspectives through video and photo Snaps to one collective Story, capturing the atmosphere and excitement.”
