Univision finished as the top broadcast network, regardless of language, with A18-34 and number 3 among A18-49 for the week of July 3. Jose de Egipto garnered 1.7 million Total Viewers 2+, 701,000 A18-49, and 284,000 A18-24.
After Fear Factor and Wild ‘N Out helped boost MTV’s June ratings, the first time June was up year-over-year in P18-34 since 2011, the net boasts July to-date is up +15% from year-ago and +21% in share, pacing to be the first July with year-over-year growth since 2013.

CBS Studios International named Nick Macrae as Senior Vice President Legal and Business Affairs, EMEA. Macrae had held several legal positions at Warner Bros.
Tina Pelkey was named press secretary for the FCC. She last served as Senior Vice President at Black Rock Group.
RLTV upped Matthew Walsh to Vice President of Development and Production. He’s been with the company since 2006.
INNOCEAN Worldwide Americas promoted Ben Gogley and Eddie Austin to Senior Vice President and Media Director, respectively. Gogley previously worked on media management and strategy across Hyundai Motor America, while Austin served as Vice President, Kia Media Planning at the company.
IN MEMORIAM
Television pioneer Richard “Dick” Cox died July 10 after a short illness. He was 87. Cox, whose first job was as an usher at CBS Radio at 16, later worked as a page at NBC, eventually heading up Y&R Ventures at Young & Rubicam and, under his DCA-TV, produced daytime’s first syndicated soap opera, High Hopes. In 1981, Cox was tapped to head CBS Cable, where he received 2 Cable Ace Awards.
Longtime Los Angeles TV and radio newsman Bill Smith died on July 11. He was 74. Smith spent 13 years at KTLA after co-anchoring KTTV’s Metro News-Metro News.
