Fusion is teaming with the son of Modern Family actress Sofia Vergara for a series exclusively for Snapchat. Manolo Gonzalez Vergara will create six episodes that offer a peek into his mother’s career, from his perspective. Vergaraland premieres on Fusion’s Snapchat Discover channel this summer. "I’m thrilled to have partnered with Fusion on Snapchat, and it’s a perfect home for a tongue-in-cheek retrospective of my mother’s career," said the younger Vergara. The net’s other original series for Snapchat include Outpost, Weird Threads and Off The Record.

Amazon Studios signed off on six new pilots for kids’ series, including four animated and two live-action. The animated pilots are The Adventures of Knickerbock Teetertop, Lost in Oz, Lily the Unicorn and Bear in Underwear; live-action offerings include A History of Radness and The Kicks. The pilots will hit Amazon Prime Video for customers to view and rate for free this summer; best of the bunch could go to series.

CONTENT MEDIA

Lionsgate and Google Play partnered for a digital fan experience revolving around Mad Men. A first for Google Play and leading up to the May 17 finale, the digital destination will explore all things Mad Men with artwork, cast interviews, audio commentaries and never-before-released content. The full seven seasons of the series are available on Google Play for a limited time, with the first ep ready to download for free.

To get moviegoers revved up about upcoming feature film Pitch Perfect 2, Portal A and Universal Pictures created a video with digital influencers and movie talent. Released on YouTube and Facebook yesterday, the vid features the new song "Crazy Youngsters" and stars The Gregory Brothers, Princess Lauren, Sami Slimani and others. More than 1,500 Pitch Perfect fans submitted their pitch to join the cast, with 100 chosen for the project. "People everywhere love Pitch Perfect, so we wanted the video to feel like a special event for all involved,? Kai Hasson, Portal A’s Creative Director and Co-Founder said. "The movie’s fans are present in every location, from London to Berlin to LA. Pitch Perfect is about being carefree, being lighthearted, and letting loose; so casting influencers and actual fans alongside the film’s cast members made perfect sense for this project."

The IAB introduced the new Digital Data Solutions Certification Program to ensure digital media marketers are competent in data management. With the credential comes a new training program that will be crafted by the IAB Data Council. Data analytics and marketing technology Experian Marketing Services will be the first company to put their ad operations and programmatic teams through their paces.

The 60-second and 30-second vids, titled Finding Time and Dad + Andy, shine a light on dads and working parents. "With ‘Dad + Andy’, we wanted to show the significance of this everyday care, specifically amongst the growing population of single fathers."
