ABC’s Roseanne stood as the #1 show in both Total Viewers and A18-49 for the week of April 9, topping AMC’s season finale of The Walking Dead.
One Strange Rock’s April 9 episode earned a .50/428 P25-54 rating on Live+3, a season high performance among the demo. In addition, the National Geographic series generated more than 1 million viewers P2+, a double-digit increase over the previous episode.
Freeform’s Siren ranked among cable’s Top 5 gainers on Thursday in L+3 playback in Total Viewers (+98%) and A18-49 (+107%). It marked its largest playback lifts yet.
FOX News continued to dominated basic cable in total day with P2+ for the week of April 9, marking 14 consecutive weeks as the number one network, according to Nielsen. FNC ranked tops in both primetime and total day with P2+. In primetime, FNC garnered 2.7 million in total viewers and total day. FNC delivered 1.5 million total viewers.
In syndication, true crime leader Crime Watch Daily (0.5 demo rating, up 25%) captured attention with a big move in the target demo and approximately 1.3 million total viewers each day. Meanwhile, in access time periods, Extra (1.2, up 9%) saw the biggest percentage increase and was the sole magazine moving up week-to-week.
Game shows were tightly bunched with leader Family Feud (6.5, up 2%), Wheel of Fortune (6.3, up 3%) and Jeopardy (6.2, unchanged) in a close race.
Judge Judy (6.9) aired reruns all week yet grew 3% over the same frame last year. It was the highest rated program in syndication for the seventh week in a row and the top courtroom show with ratings greater than the other five nationally measured shows combined.
