Sometimes age in the NFL has its benefits. The NFLPA released their Top 50 Player Sales list Wednesday, and Patriots QB Tom Brady finished No. 1, the 15th consecutive year he has finished no less than third. The list is based on total sales of all officially licensed NFL player merchandise from March 1, 2018 through Feb. 28 of this year. For the fifth consecutive year, NFLPA licensees generated record retail sales, exceeding $1.6B during the year. Cowboys QB Dak Prescott finished No. 2 for a third straight year and was joined by teammate Ezekiel Elliott at No. 4. Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes jumped to No. 5 on the list.

The Real Series Presented by Nexcare Brand’s Real Street launched Wednesday, with nine never-before-seen skateboard video parts debuting on XGames.com. A full World of X Games episode will air Saturday, May 4 on ABC, featuring all nine video parts, behind-the-scenes footage and athlete interviews. Celebrating the 10th year of Real Street, Brandon Graham and Chad Muska will host a “Best of Real Street” show airing on ABC May 11. The show will include highlights from the past 10 years of Real Street video parts, favorite moments and behind-the-scenes content.

The National Lacrosse League announced a multi-year partnership with USBOXLA to continue growth on all game related matters at the grassroots level. The partnership will focus on the development of players, coaches, and officials as well as joint marketing and sponsorship ventures between the organizations. The deal comes just after the NLL’s The Calgary Roughnecks set a record of 19,289 at the Scotiabank Saddledome and the Buffalo Bandits drew in excess of 18,000 in their regular season home finale’s this past weekend. The NLL also enjoyed solid year-over-year results on Bleacher Report Live for the regular season. Average unique viewers were up 27%, the average minute audience was up 14% and total unit sales jumped 151% with the playoffs still coming.
 
Major League Baseball and Church & Dwight Co., Inc., the makers of ARM & HAMMER, unveiled the new Jennie Finch Empowerment Award presented by ARM & HAMMER, which will honor four young women every year who demonstrate characteristics such as Leadership, Motivation, Commitment, Humility, and Integrity. The four winners will represent one of the following MLB softball-based events: Softball Breakthrough Series, Jennie Finch All-Star Classic, Elite Development Invitational, and the RBI World Series. The winners will be selected by an MLB-led blue-ribbon panel including Finch, who was Olympic Gold Medalist and Collegiate Softball Champion, and currently serves as an MLB Youth Softball Ambassador.
 
Geico signed on as the official auto insurance provider of World TeamTennis. Geico will also be the presenting sponsor of the WTT’s one-hour finals encore and season highlight show on Aug. 10 on CBS
 
Taiwanese fast-food chain Dicos has signed a new partnership with NBA China, in the run-up to this year’s NBA China Games. Under the multi-year deal, Dicos will have the rights to serve NBA-themed meals, use NBA decorations and hold NBA activities at its 2,500 stores across China.
 
Bleacher Report’s House of Highlights, with more than 12.6 million followers on Instagram, will be introducing a new title sponsor this Thursday with Taco Bell. The sponsorship will include interstitials and giveaways scheduled to run every Thursday throughout the NBA Playoffs and NBA Summer League.  
 
Cubs manager Joe Maddon announced he will launch a beer to benefit his charitable foundation, Respect 90, named after his slogan “Try Not to Suck.”  The beer will be made by Haymarket Beer.

With the 2019 NFL Draft beginning tonight, Panini  and athlete marketing platform opendorse will recreate  program where a  select group of NFL stars will be welcoming draftees to their new teams in real time. Through a partnership, no less than 15 NFL stars, including Julian Edelman, will be welcoming 2019 draftees via social with the Panini Instant platform. Last year, 20 NFL players posted through opendorse (3 rookies, 17 vets) with an additional 16 draft picks posting their #PaniniInstant cards, bringing the total to 39. Thanks to the likes of Saquon Barkley, Baker Mayfield, Lamar Jackson, Mason Rudolph and Minkah Fitzpatrick, Panini secured a 44% share of voice (SOV) during the first round of the Draft, 13% higher than the nearest competitor. This is the fourth year of the partnership between both companies.
 
Fan voting for the 2018-19 season long NBA Cares Community Assist Award presented by Kaiser Permanente began Wednesday on social media and concludes on Sunday, May 5 at 11:59 p.m. ET, the NBA announced. Chosen by fans and an NBA executive panel, the season-long winner will be announced at the 2019 NBA Awards presented by Kia on Monday, June 24, on TNT live from historic Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif. The winning player will receive the award during the 2019 NBA Awards presented by Kia on TNT, and $25,000 to their charity of choice, a donation from the NBA and Kaiser Permanente. Fans can vote for their chosen season long award nominee via Jebbit, where they can view and select videos highlighting each player’s impact, or on Twitter, by using #NBACommunityAssist and a player’s handle or #PlayerFirstNameLastName. Retweets are also counted and votes cast on the first and last day (April 24 and May 5) will count twice towards a player’s total.
 
Topgolf and Whistle announced a strategic partnership to produce, market and distribute an original series called “The Tour” for golf’s next-generation event. The show will follow teams along the ultimate mixed-level competition that gives everyday golfers a chance to win a trip to Topgolf Las Vegas for a shot at the Championship Title and $50,000 cash. The series will include 14 episodes that will air weekly on YouTube beginning in the fall and be cross-promoted on all Topgolf and Whistle channels.
