IN THE NEWS

Hours after accusing former president Barack Obama of wiretapping Trump Tower, President Trump took aim at his Celebrity Apprentice successor on Saturday. Arnold Schwarzenegger isn’t voluntarily leaving the Apprentice, he was fired by his bad (pathetic) ratings, not by me.” Schwarzenegger had said he was washing his hands of the NBC competition due to Trump, attributing the show’s low ratings (under 4 million viewers) to POTUS. “When people found out that Trump was still involved as executive producer and was still receiving money from the show, then half the people [started] boycotting it,” Schwarzenegger told Empire. (Social media’s anti-Trump campaign #grabyourwallet was one outlet asking viewers and sponsors to steer clear of the show.) Lobbed back Schwarzenegger, “You should think about hiring a new joke writer and a fact checker.” No word on whether NBC had planned, or now plans, to renew the reality show.

After a 48-hour extension failed to bring the parties together, Hearst Television blacked out 33 network affiliates in 26 markets on Dish Network. “While we had hoped to conclude our negotiations before the extended March 3rd deadline, Dish has continued to insist on including material terms that are less favorable than our current agreement,” Hearst said in a statement. If the story sounds familiar, recall DirecTV was left in the dark by Hearst for several days in January.

Amazon shuttered its one-year-old Cable Store, which offered products from Comcast and, added in November, Frontier. “Amazon is constantly testing and launching new offerings,” an Amazon spokesperson told TVPredictions.

Now that Arnold Schwarzenegger’s out, who would be a good choice to star in Celebrity Apprentice? Cast your vote in the new Cynopsis poll: http://cynopsis.com/poll/.

No other network has first-run content like Logan every week, Millennial reach, or the first party data to back it up.

No other network is NCMAmerica’s Movie Network. Bub.
