IN THE NEWS

As upfront season gets underway, Scripps Networks Interactive EVP of advertising sales & marketing Jon Steinlauf tells Cynopsis why he believes lifestyle programming, often lumped with reality and entertainment, should be considered a genre unto itself. "Ninety-three percent of people who watch Scripps in the 3-day window are watching it live, the best percentage outside sports and news," says Steinlauf. "They like the advertising – there’s an interest in the advertiser as a resource, as opposed to it being clutter or an interruption."
