The IAB extended the fourth annual Digital Content NewFronts by an additional day; they will now run from April 27 to May 7. The ten companies being added to the festivities are Beatport, Bloomberg Media, Collective Digital Studio, DailyMail.com/Elite Daily, DEFY Media, Endemol Beyond, Lin Digital, StyleHaul, The Street and Whistle Sports Network. Here’s the updated schedule:

Vimeo landed exclusive U.S. first window download rights to the documentary from Oscar-winner Alex Gibney called Going Clear: Scientology and The Prison of Belief. Originally premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, the doc is based on Pulitzer Prize winner Lawrence Wright’s book of the same name, which profiles eight former members of the Church of Scientology. The film will be available on Vimeo On Demand in September 2015 following its HBO broadcast.
 
Lifestyle multi-channel network Kin Community snagged top Canadian YouTube creator Lauren Riihimaki (aka LaurDIY), a fashion and DIY vlogger who boasts 1.3 million subscribers. Kin Community hits 30 million+ monthly unique visitors and 268 million+ video views per month, and represents top life-style YouTubers Rosanna Pansino (1.25 million subs) and Ann Reardon (one million subs).
 
YouTube top news channel The Young Turks Network (two million+ subscribers) premiered its series Final Judgment on Facebook yesterday. Created with the help of the platform, the show was specifically designed for optimal FB reach, according to Digiday. The TYN videos average 20,000 views on Facebook; within eight hours of the first Final Judgment episode, the show racked up 41,000 views. FB didn’t pay the Young Turks to produce the series, so episodes will also be posted to its primary video channel on YT.

CONTENT MEDIA
 

British TV streaming service Acorn TV is bringing the miniseries New Worlds, starring Fifty Shades of Grey actor Jamie Dornan, exclusively to iTunes. From Feb. 16 to March 9, a new installment of the English Civil War drama will stream on Acorn.TV every Monday, while the entire four-part miniseries will be available to own on iTunes on Feb. 16. Additionally, iTunes users can catch four free behind-the-scenes segments from New Worlds available now at iTunes.com/NewWorlds.
 
In honor of Black History Month, Nickelodeon partnered with Because of Them, We Can in a campaign to launch across broadcast, digital and social platforms. Nick will air three 30-second PSAs that feature kids portraying Maya Angelou, Muhammad Ali and Malcolm X, along with a site dedicated to content from the black history campaign.
 
CMT premiered the Glen Campbell…I’ll Be Me soundtrack from the documentary of the same title on the CMT Artists app and GlenCampbell.CMT.com. The soundtrack will feature four additional never-before-heard songs as well as the Grammy-winning and Oscar-nominated song “I’m Not Gonna Miss You.” Campbell has won six Grammys, three Grammy Hall of Fame honors, seven Academy of Country music awards, three American Music Awards and two Country Music Association Awards.
 
Target’s streaming service, meant to compete with iTunes, Amazon and Netflix, will shutter after just opening two years ago. Target Ticket had a deal with CinemaNow, and recently featured new releases Big Hero 6, Birdman, The Walking Dead and more. It will shut down on March 7.
 

 
ADVERTISING + AD PLATFORMS

 
Cross-channel marketing technology company Signal launched the Unified Customer View (UCV). The solution is part of Signal’s Fuse Open Data Platform, conceived to help marketers tap the “single view” data of a customer’s journey of online and offline channels through mobile apps, email, ads, and point of sale. Kraft Foods Group and Starcom currently use the solution.
 
 

EXEC MOVES
 

AwesomenessTV appointed James Deutch as Creative Director, Branded Entertainment. Deutch has worked in TV and film for the past 20 years, serving as creator and executive producer of series, such as: Fashion Star (NBC), Fashion Week (E! Network), and Tabloid Wars (Bravo). He was most recently Vice President of Programming Partnerships at Hearst Entertainment.
 
Tremor Video hired Mark Kalus as Lead Product Development for its Demand Side Platform. Previously Kalus served as Associate Vice President of Product Management at Sizmek and was Nielsen’s original product leader for its Online Campaign Ratings (OCR).
 
Univision Communications Inc.
unveiled two promotions: Kevin Conroy is now Chief Strategy and Data Officer and President, Enterprise Development, and Isaac Lee is UCI President of News & Digital and Fusion CEO. Conroy and Lee are corporate officers for UCI and will continue to report to President and CEO Randy Falco.
 
Multi-platform media company What’s Trending named James Haffner as Chief Operating Officer. He joins WT from DeFranco Creative (owned by Discovery Communications) where he was an Executive Producer of the network.
 

 
DIGITAL SPOTLIGHT OF THE DAY

 
Marriott International debuted the first trailer for Two Bellman, the short film that’s part of the content deal announced earlier this week with What’s Trending and YouTube influencers. Marriott will release the 15-min short on its YouTube channel, on screens in its hotel rooms, on Marriott.com, and to its Marriott Reward members on March 10.
