Saturday’s episode of A&E’s Live PD was the best performance of the series ever among Total Viewers (2.1 million) and A18-49 (981,000), according to Nielsen.
Hallmark Channel made a strong transition from “Countdown to Christmas” to the new year with its third annual “Winterfest” initiative, featuring four consecutive Saturday night original movie premieres in January. Collectively, the movie debuts averaged a 2.6 Household rating and 2.8 million Total Viewers. “Winterfest” also elevated Hallmark Channel to the #1 network on cable in primetime every Saturday throughout the month.
FOX Business Network delivered its highest rated month ever in Business Day viewers, according to Nielsen, as business news dominated headlines.
The Martin Luther King holiday session ending January 21 saw newcomer Daily Mail TV (1.2 Live+SD national Nielsen, up 9% from the week before) rise to its best rating yet. Page Six TV (0.8, steady) remained at its series record high.
Dr. Phil (3.5) was up 17% from last year, the most of any first-run strip. Following Phil were Ellen DeGeneres (2.7, unchanged) and Live with Kelly and Ryan (2.6, up 8%), which matched its season high.
Highlighting a third straight week of strong performances for the top magazines were Inside Edition (new season high 3.6%, up 6%), Entertainment Tonight (new season high 3.5, up 3%) and Access (new season high 1.6, up 7%), which also hit a 69-week high in the key W25-54 demo.
