Artists Den Entertainment, behind the concert series Live From the Artists Den and Connecticut-based Northstar Media are teaming to take the public television series to international markets.  Northstar Media will hold the international television and VOD distribution rights to the 30 one-hour episodes of Live From the Artists Den.  The hi-def series highlights top musicians, such as Elvis Costello, Ben Harper, Ringo Starr, Tori Amos and more performing in unique venues.  Co-production on the fourth season of the series is currently underway from Artists Den Entertainment and WLIW21 in association with WNET New York Public Media.

Canadian-based Picture Box Distribution sold the reality series Brides of Beverly Hills, with 13 half-hour episodes to TLC in the US.  The series goes behind the scenes of elite bridal boutique owner Renee Strauss and her eclectic team as they work with over-the-top brides.  Planetworks Inc. produces the series in association with Slice Network.  TLC will debut the series on October 28 at 10p.

Stand-up comedian Sarah Colonna’s new book, Life As I Blow It: Tales of Love, Life & Sex . . . Not Necessarily in That Order is the basis of a new single-camera comedy project picked up by NBC.  Colonna, who regularly appears in E!’s Chelsea Lately show, will serve as writer and executive producer on the project about her life in the Midwest and her eccentric friends and family who offer their unbridled opinions and actions. Other executive producers include Danielle Sanchez, Happy Madison’s Doug Robinson and New Wave Entertainment’s Abbey MacDonald, Michael Pelmont and Brian Volk Weiss.  The comedy will be produced by Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison and New Wave Entertainment, Lunch Bag Snail Productions and Universal Television in association with Sony Pictures Television.

Production has started this week on the inaugural season of TNT’s new series Dallas from Warner Horizon Television.  The series is shot on location in Dallas, TX and revisits Southfork home of the powerful Ewing family and the next generation of Ewings who take ambition and deception to a new level.  TNT will roll out Dallas next summer.  Josh Henderson stars as John Ross Ewing and Jesse Metcalfe plays Christopher, Bobby’s adopted son. Among the cast are returning stars Larry Hagman, reprising his notorious role as J.R. Ewing; Patrick Duffy as Bobby Ewing; and Linda Gray as Sue Ellen Ewing.

Negotiations are in the final stages to see Chord Overstreet make a comeback to FOX’s Glee on a recurring basis.  The deal is not yet complete though if Overstreet does rejoin Glee as Sam, he is expected to first appear in the present season’s eighth episode.

For the third season of FX’s Justified, TV and film actress Carla Gugino landed a recurring role as Karen Goodall, a Washington, D.C.-based assistant director of the US Marshals Service who used to work with Raylan in Miami.  Season three of Justified launches in early 2012 on FX.
