Fuse announced it has a new long-form original series ready to premiere this September called A Different Spin with Mark Hoppus. Musician and producer Mark Hoppus will host this one-hour weekly show that covers all topics in the world of music including interviews and performances with established artists to emerging bands. The series will also showcase music news, panel discussions and reports from the show’s correspondents. More information about the show including the co-host and correspondents will be detailed in the coming weeks. Fuse is a national music television network part of Madison Square Garden. Hoppus is known as the frontman and bassist from the punk band Blink 182. Last Sunday’s first season finale of Treme at 10p on HBO averaged 931,000 total viewers and a second showing of the finale episode at midnight drew in an additional 515,000 total viewers. To date, Treme has an average gross audience of 3.2 million viewers each episode, factoring in linear airings + DVR + HBO On Demand. Investigation Discovery debuts the third season of original series The Shift on July 7 at 10p. The Shift follows an elite homicide team working for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department who work from 2p to 1030p considered the “primetime” hours for homicides to occur. The Shift is produced by Happy Owl Media for Investigation Discovery.

Endemol signed a deal with TV Land, part of the MTV Networks Entertainment Group, picking up the worldwide distribution rights to the new original sitcom Hot In Cleveland. Endemol Worldwide Distribution will launch Hot In Cleveland at MIPCOM 2010. Warner Bros. has sold the sitcom The Big Bang Theory in eight more markets, securing pricing close or higher than that of Two and a Half Men which sold for a reported $4 million per episode in 2006, cites B&C. The Big Bang Theory, which airs on CBS was picked up by Tribune in three markets including WXIN-WTTV/Indianapolis; WTIC/Hartford-New Haven; and WNOL/New Orleans. CBS also bought the show for KSTW/Seattle-Tacoma and WBZ-WSBK/Boston. The sitcom was additionally sold to Time Warner’s WPCH/Atlanta; Local TV’s KDVR/Denver; and Bahakel’s WCCB/Charlotte. National Hispanic television network, LATV Networks made a distribution agreement with Four Points Media Group adding two Four Points’ affiliates to its roster. The two new affiliates are WTVX/West Palm Beach and WLWC/Providence. LATV now reaches into 36 markets, representing 76% of US Hispanic TV households. West Palm Beach ranks as the #28 Hispanic television market with 97,000 Hispanic households while Providence ranks as the 50th with 44,000 Hispanic TV households. After these affiliate deals, LATV is now in 46 million total television households and the network projects it will be in 53 million homes by the end of this year. Harpo Studios revealed it is expanding its creative services department forming a new entity called Harpo Creative Works, comprised of a team of designers, writers and producers who will offer the unit’s services to media clients outside of Harpo Productions. This new full-service creative agency will tap into the design and implementation of on-air, print and online promotion for broadcast and cable TV across multiple platforms. Harpo Creative Works will be based at Harpo Studios’ Chicago headquarters and will specialize in the promotion of television and media properties as it grows. Currently, Harpo Creative Works is involved with production of the promotional campaigns for The Dr. Oz Show and The Oprah Winfrey Show and will produce promotional campaigns for the upcoming syndicated program The Nate Berkus Show launching this fall.
