~ DISTRIBUTION, CLEARANCE & CARRIAGE ~

MSNBC is developing a new show for the 10p time period helmed by the network’s frequent political analyst and guest anchor, Lawrence O’Donnell who also is billed as actor/writer. O’Donnell has appeared on MSNBC since the channel’s launch in 1996 and has filled in for Keith Olbermann as host for Countdown. Previously, O’Donnell won an Emmy Award for writing on NBC’s The West Wing and also created the short-lived NBC series Mister Sterling. He also has a recurring role playing an attorney on HBO’s Big Love drama series. Before that, O’Donnell served as a legislative aide to Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan. In the 10p hour, O’Donnell would go up against On The Record with Greta Van Susteren on FOX News, CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 and a repeat of Nancy Grace on HLN. The encore of Countdown would move to 11p nightly once this show premieres.
