Good morning. It’s Wednesday, June 11, 2008, and this is your first early morning briefing.

Tonight’s Premiere:
NBC: Celebrity Circus at 930p

Tonight’s Finale:

~ MORE GOOD STUFF ~

Monday night’s premiere of Nashville Star on NBC (9p) posted a 2.2/6 A18-49 and 6.6 million total viewers.

Food Network hired Ted Allen, formerly of Bravo’s Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, as host for its new series Food Detectives. The show will look at commonplace misconceptions and myths about food and it will premiere July 29 at 9p during the network’s “Guy’s Night”.

FX has officially decided to not go forward with the remaining six episodes of its original scripted series Dirt, per Variety. During the first season 13 episodes were ordered and then more recently for season two, only seven episodes were delivered, in part a result of the writers’ strike.  ABC Studios and FX productions produced with Matthew Carnahan, Joe Fields, David Arquette and Courteney Cox as Executive Producers.

Former U.S. senator form NY, Al D’Amato will appear in a pilot for a potential new court show, reports THR. The show, produced by Twentieth Television, will focus on small claims cases and will likely be shot in Los Angeles.

Twentieth Century Fox TV purchased the U.S. format rights to the Canadian series Little Mosque on the Prairie, according to THR. The series is about a Muslim community living in a small prairie town. The show originally debuted on Canada’s CBC in January 2007.
