UP unveiled an original programming slate that includes 30 new premiere movies and four series. “UP is an expert on its growing audience of family-friendly viewers who are seeking a destination for uplifting, entertaining programming,” said Lisa Fischer EVP, ad sales. “We produce more family-friendly movies than any other television network. During this upfront season, we are offering a compelling and ambitious slate of contemporary entertainment viewers will enjoy, distributors will welcome and that advertisers will embrace.”
For the second half of 2014, nine original and premiere movies will include My Dad Is a Soccer Mom, Comeback Dad, Rocky Road and Mary Jo’s Candy in summer; Coffee Shop and Match Made in Heaven in the fall and Mistletoe Radio, Paper Angels and Christmas Tree Farm in time for the holidays. Highlights from 2015: biblical epic Noah, true story Life of a King,fish-out-of-water film Stars, Stripes and Accessories and Mothers of the Bride. Now in its 10th year, UP is projected to reach 73 million households in 2015.
