A nationally syndicated talk show that would have been hosted by reality TV star Bethenny Frankel will not happen for fall 2012.  The distributor, Telepictures, a unit of Warner Bros. could not secure a commitment from a major US station group for the proposed talk show.  Frankel gained fame from several Bravo shows including Real Housewives of New York City, Bethenny Getting Married and Bethenny Ever After.  The series Bethenny Ever After recently wrapped production on a new season and will continue on Bravo.

Darren Pettie (AMC’s Mad Men) is staying in the 1960’s as the actor landed a recurring role on ABC’s Pan Am, per EW.  In the ABC drama, Pettie will play airline captain Vince Broyles, considered to be the “ultimate sky god.”  Broyles is a former celebrated WWII pilot, though charming, has a dark side.
