Cynopsis: Kids!
01/12/10
Good morning. It’s Tuesday, January 12, 2010, and this is your first early morning Kids briefing.
New Spider-Man movie swings forth without director Sam Raimi and Spidey star Tobey Maguire. In a statement released late yesterday, Sony and Marvel Studios put endless rumors to rest about the movie by officially announcing they have shifted the release date of the new Spider-Man movie to summer 2012 … and explained the movie is going forward without Raimi and Maguire, who directed and starred in the first three live-action movies. The movie they are moving forward with feature a script by James Vanderbilt that revolves around a teenage Peter Parker, who is still in High School, and “dealing with both contemporary human problems and amazing super-human crises.” No word on who will direct and star in the new Spider-Man movie, which will be produced by Columbia Pictures, Marvel Studios and Avi Arad and Laura Ziskin. Spider-Man 4 was to have released in May 2011.

Answer to Yesterday’s Trivia: Clarence was a regular on Night Court, usually seen in the Judge’s chambers, and once went out the window only to miraculously return. Who was Clarence? A STUFFED (THO INEXPLICABLY SOMETIMES LIVE) ARMADILLO Kudos to: David Stern-BARD Entertainment/NY; Kevin Uriarte-Disney Online/San Francisco;
Today’s Trivia Question: The exterior shots of this building were City Hall in downtown LA, the interior lobby shots were filmed in The Carnation Building in west downtown LA on Wilshire. What was this classic TV Series? (and don’t be mistaken by thinking it’s Dragnet: the exteriors are the same, but the interiors were not the Carnation Building) (Email [email protected] with your answer and be sure to include your name, company, city and time zone. Unofficial rules: Only the second four correct answers from each time zone will be mentioned; and once you’ve been mentioned in any of the Cynopsis editions, you can’t be mentioned again that calendar week.)
