BBC America acquired two new US premiere seasons of the series Being Human, a co-production of Touchpaper Television and BBC America and distributed by RDF Rights, part of the RDF Media Group. BBC America’s acquisition includes six one-hour episodes for each season, starring Russell Tovey, Lenora Crichlow and Aidan Turner as three 20-somethings who try to lead normal lives despite being a werewolf, a ghost and a vampire. BBC America will premiere the second season in late summer followed closely by the show’s third season.
Production on FOX’s 24 is suspended for much of this week, following star and executive producer Kiefer Sutherland’s surgery for a ruptured cyst. Filming continued last week through Friday on scenes not involving Sutherland, and he will likely be back on the set later this week. Producing company, 20th TV does not expect any air delays for this current eighth season’s episodes.
