Tonight’s Premiere:
NBC:     Meet Mister Mom at 8p

Viewers will soon have access to Court TV News content on their SmartVideo mobile video provider to cellphones. The deal will offer four kinds of content on four different channels on this subscriber-based service. Content will be available from 10a-6p, VOD of the network’s Seriously Entertainment primetime programming, as well as access to web clips and trial coverage, and the live network feed directly from the satellite.

Also expanding their video content deals, Yahoo! yesterday announced agreements with both CNN.com and ABC News wherein both will provide daily news feeds to Yahoo! News starting in September, free to Yahoo! users. CNN.com will offer extensive video clips daily, and ABC News will offer a  package of  VOD content.

If you’re one of those who have the high-def network INHD, you may be interested to know of a special coming up on tomorrow evening at 7p – PGA boomer golfer John Daly vs. Niagara Falls (produced and distributed by Rogers SportsNet). Yes, its true, John Daly will be the first to try to hit a golf ball across Niagara Falls, airing live and in high-def. For the record, the distance is more than 350 yards.

The History Channel presents This Day in History:
1865 – The Confederate cruiser C.S.S. Shenandoah receives word from a British vessel that the Civil War has ended.  Captain James I. Waddell, on a mission targeting Union whalers in the Pacific, was unwilling to believe earlier reports of the South’s surrender.  After continuing to seize and burn Union vessels in the north Pacific, Waddell finally confirmed these reports with a passing British ship and surrendered the Shenandoah to British authorities in London.
