Cyn’s Notes from MIPTV 2012: This year’s MIP tv has a new schedule that has me, and a few others, a little discombobulated. You have to understand, this market is all about traditions. The flight over always gets me to Nice by 9am, returning flight into JFK by 2pm. Except this time. MIP TV always starts on Monday, and ends on Thursday. Except this year. Tradition schmadition. There is a dinner I’ve always attended on Sunday nights. This year it was on Saturday. I had meetings on Saturday that are usually on Sunday. By Monday morning, I went to my 930am meeting, only to discover it’s on Tuesday. Now, before you think I’m a complete knucklehead, lemme just say, I’m not alone! There are others — I’m almost sure of it. Or people are just humoring me. Regardless, I’ve learned some new terms for the 15 minute Power Nap: the Disco Nap; the Quick Lie Down; and the Short Z. I’d like one from Column A and another from Column B please! Tuesday brings a clearer head and plenty of rain just to add another dimension. That’s okay, I’ll be awake and ready!

Presently in its ninth year, the Field & Stream Total Outdoorsman Challenge is considered one of the most popular outdoor events in the US.
