TLC’s newest hit series Here Comes Honey Boo Boo receives an order for additional episodes on the heels of the one-hour special episode to close out the first half of season one that was slated to run Wednesday night. In addition to the new episodes, TLC plans three holiday specials for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Since its August premiere, the show has averaged 2.3 million viewers.

CBS’ news stalwart 60 Minutes starts its 45th season September 30 at 7p with a report on the situation in Afghanistan and an interview with Arnold Schwarzenegger. CBS also debuts its 60 Minutes app for the iPhone today. The app has previously been available for iPads and is the top-ranked paid news app, CBS says.

Fox’s The Mob Doctor generated the most online “involvement” among new falls shows for the week ending September 23, according to a just-released analysis of online and social sentiment from social analytics firm General Sentiment. Rounding out the top five were CBS’ Vegas, NBC’s Chicago Fire, CBS’ Partners and Fox’s The Mindy Project. General Sentiment said it measures shows based on online discussion, how positive the discussion is, and the source of that discussion.

Nat Geo WILD buys a second season of Fish Tank Kings, the series that tracks a team of aquarium specialists and their aquatic creations. The second season is scheduled to debut in 2013.

Discovery’s second of season of Alaska: The Last Frontier premieres October 2 at 9p showcasing a family living off the grid on 640 acres in Alaska.

Discovery-owned Velocity premieres the first of twelve new episodes of Overhaulin’ beginning October 2 at 9p. The network said it’s revamping the show to focus not just on the cars but on some of the human stories behind the people who own the restored vehicles, including an Iraq war veteran, a high school teacher, a pastor and a young man suffering from cystic fibrosis.

Entertainer Andy Williams died Tuesday. He’s best known for hit songs like Moon River, which was also the theme song to his musical variety TV show The Andy Williams Show that ran on NBC from 1962 to 1971 and won three Emmys. Williams continued to host many Christmas specials throughout the years. Williams was 84, and is survived by three children, six grandchildren and two brothers.

Food Network plans the premiere of new series Health Inspectors for October 26 at 10:30p. Showcasing restaurant consultant Ben Vaughn, who lets restaurants at risk know what they should do to pass inspection, starting with a high-end Mexican food eatery in Chicago, and then a burrito shop in New Orleans.

OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network slates October 2 at 10p to premiere the first episode in its new series Oprah: Where Are They Now? that profiles headline-making Oprah show guests with a look at what they’re up to now, including Kato Kaelin, Mary Jo Buttafuoco and Shannon Faulkner, the first female cadet at The Citadel.

ION schedules it fifth season of crime drama Flashpoint to debut October 16 at 11p, with the first of thirteen one-hour episodes following an elite police unit.

FEARnet sets the debut of Emmy Award-winning Tales from the Crypt for October 5 at 10p, marking the show’s return to network TV after its syndicated run ended in 2004. The episodes will run in two-hour blocks each Friday and then repeat on Mondays.

BBC AMERICA brings the second season of horror series Bedlam back to air October 6 at 9p chronicling the haunting of a stylish apartment building and its residents, past and present.

TV One slates the fourth season premiere of Life After for October 8 at 9p, with episodes to address the turning points in the lives of celebs including Marla Gibbs from The Jeffersons, Camille Winbush from The Bernie Mac Show, and Grammy Winner Dionne Warwick.

CW bets on two of its new reality series by ordering second seasons for musical chairs-obstacle course competition show Oh Sit! and the ballet docu-series Breaking Pointe. The network has not yet announced premiere dates. Both shows debuted this summer. Oh Sit! is from The Gurin Company and 405 Productions in association with Warner Horizon Television. Breaking Pointe is produced by BBC Worldwide Productions.

Sony Pictures Television’s Dutch production arm Tuvalu Media strikes a deal with Dutch broadcaster SBS to produce 30 half-hour episodes of Stories from the Hospital, a reality format based on the US drama series Strong Medicine and its storylines. The series will be called Dokters locally and will run weekdays at 8p after launching in late October. Sony Pictures Television will show the new format to international buyers at MIPCOM.

Tuesday A18-49 Analysis:  CBS rode the strength of its returning heavyweight lineup to #1 Tuesday at 3.4/10 among A18-49, according to final primetime national ratings from Nielsen. But NBC’s The Voice continued to deliver the demo at 8p, snagging the top spot at that hour with a 4.2/13, with the premiere of NCIS a close second at 4.1/12. In the 9p hour, CBS pulled ahead with NCIS: Los Angeles topping at a 3.4/9, with Fox’s New Girl from 9-9:30 pulling off a 2.8/8. At 10p, the premiere of new fall show Vegas on CBS got a boost from its lead-ins and landed with a 2.5/7, with ABC’s Private Practice in second place at 1.9/5.
