A pilot loosely based on Mike Tyson’s early years titled Da Brick was approved by HBO.  John Ridley is writing the script for Doug Ellin’s HBO-based production company.  Spike Lee will direct and serve as executive producer along with Tyson, Ridley and Ellin and Ellin’s producing partner, Jim Lefkowitz. In addition, Tyson’s wife Lakiha Tyson will co-executive produce the project with Azim Spicer.

Television and Berlanti Productions.

The CW’s fourth season of 90210 adds Chris McKenna in the multi-episode role as Patrick, a rich powerful guy who exudes charm and falls for Annie (Shenae Grimes).  Also new to 90201 for the upcoming season is Tiffany Hines, per THR, in a recurring role as a police officer named Kat.  Hines most recently appeared on The CW’s Nikita last season.

Answer to Yesterday’s Trivia Question:   Who lives at 129 West 81st Street, apartment 5E?  Newman on Seinfeld. Jerry lived in 5A, Kramer in 5B. Another interesting fact, of all the episodes, Jerry said, “Hello Newman,” only 15 times! And though some think Norman is Newman’s first name, it’s actually Francis. In one episode, an actress called him Norman by mistake, the producers thought it was funny, and left it in. Kudos to: Brian Egan-Marketing, Syfy/NYC; Marge PistulkaEmpower MediaMarketing/Coral Springs, FL; Marc Huberfeld-CBS Network Sales/NY; Jon Aronson-Yankees Entertainment & Sports Network, LLC/NYC; David Stern-BARD Entertainment/Tel Aviv, Israel; David Brunner-The Nielsen Company/Lugano, Switzerland; William “Chip” Beaman-Soundelux Design Music Group/Hollywood; Dan Haberer-Creo Entertainment/Playa del Rey,CA; Brett Ashy-The Ashy Agency/LA; Paul Blutter-General American Group, Inc/Northridge, CA.

Today’s Trivia Question:   Who is the only actor to win an Emmy all five times he was nominated?      (Email [email protected] with your answer and be sure to include your name, company, city and time zone. Unofficial rules: Only the second four correct answers from each time zone will be mentioned; and once you’ve been mentioned in any of the Cynopsis editions, you can’t be mentioned again that calendar week.)
