Bravo: The Real Housewives of Orange County at 10p
Investigation Discovery: Cold Blood at 10p

ABC announced the next installment of The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love premieres January 4 at 8p. In this 14th edition, bachelor Jake Pavelka, a commercial pilot from Dallas and also last seen in the most recent edition of The Bachelorette, will have his turn at finding true love. Also new for this season, The Bachelor will be broadcast in 720 Progressive, ABC’s selected hi-def format, with stereo sound. The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love is produced by Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television. 

E! offers up a new eight-episode reality series where ordinary people can ask for money from rich celebrities and moguls in Bank of Hollywood. A panel consisting of author/entrepreneur, Candy Spelling; poker player Vanessa Rousso; Sean Patterson, president of Wilhelmina Models; and Pussycat Dolls singer Melody Thornton, will hear the pitches of Americans short of cash from everything to support a charity to those who need money for a specific need. The panelists will give away their own money, with figures starting at $2,000. Ryan Seacrest Productions produces Bank of Hollywood in association with Fever Media and BBC. Bank of Hollywood debuts on E! December 14 at 10p.

Fuse, the national music TV network from Madison Square Garden, approved the new series On The Record with Fuse, an intimate interview series with current top artists. The series premieres November 14 at 9p with a conversation with John Mayer. Upcoming artists profiled include Lady Gaga on November 23 at 9p and 50 Cent on November 25 at 8p.

MTV Tr3s is bringing back its popular series Quiero Mis Quinces beginning November 16 at 9p. Over eight new episodes, the series will follow nine girls as they plan their Quinceanera celebrations, marking their 15th birthdays and entry into womanhood. After the finale of Quiero Mis Quinces airs on January 18, a new spinoff series, Quiero Mi Boda will premiere showcasing another big event in a Latina’s life, her wedding.

Correction : RFD-TV, and not RDF-TV, is airing the new series In the Bunkhouse each Wednesday at 1p and 11p.

A CYNOPSIS MESSAGE FROM CYNOPSIS MEDIA

Investigation Discovery (ID) will reveal some of the world’s most legendary mysteries, such as King Arthur and Robin Hood, in the new series Mystery Files. ID picked up the US rights for season one of Mystery Files with 13 half-hour episodes set to premiere on the network in early 2010. ID also has the option to gain future seasons of Mystery Files. Parthenon Entertainment produces the series.

General entertainment TV network, WarnerTV will launch in Asia next year with distribution handled exclusively by HBO Asia. Programming on WarnerTV will include TV series like The Mentalist, The Big Bang Theory, Fringe and Gossip Girl in addition to cop dramas Dark Blue and Southland.

Planet Green is concocting a new original series called Future Food, featuring molecular gastronomists and world famous chefs Homaro Cantu and Ben Roche. Both Cantu and Roche, and their team of chefs/gastronomists will experiment at Moto restaurant in Chicago to develop solutions for the future of food, tackling one unique food challenge per episode. Planet Green ordered eight episodes which will premiere in Spring 2010. Future Food is produced by GALAFILM in association with 2C Media and ITV Global Entertainment.

CMT announced it is venturing into new programming territory with two upcoming adventure series in the works. Both series will premiere in second quarter 2010 and be part of a new branded night of programming.

• Danger Coast – Follows Miami’s elite Marine Operations Bureau as they work to protect the public while risking their own lives. ITV Studios, Inc. produces, with Chris Sloan of 2C Media serving as Executive Producer; ten half-hour episodes were ordered.
• Gator 911 (wt) – Focuses on Gary Surage, conservationist and owner of the adventure park, Gator Country in Texas as he and his team rescue alligators from unusual locations and places them in safe refuges. 12 Forward Entertainment produces; ten half-hour episodes were ordered.

New Jersey stylists with big personalities are the centerpiece for The Style Network’s next comedic docu-soap, Jerseylicious. The one-hour series follows the lives of six stylists who work at a hot Central New Jersey salon as they dish on the latest gossip while styling hair, doing nails and applying spray tans. Jerseylicious will premiere in Spring 2010. Endemol USA produces.

In the development pipeline for FOX is a CIA-themed drama series from writer Harris Wilkinson and Peter Chernin’s new company Chernin Entertainment, based out of 20th Century Fox Television, cites Variety. The untitled spy thriller is about a specialty unit of the CIA that uses “remote viewing” or the ability to find information through paranormal skills. Chernin, Katherine Pope and Lauren Stein will executive produce; Len Wiseman will direct.

Colin Hanks was tagged to star in FOX’s new 13-episode 60m series Jack and Dan, per THR. Hanks will star opposite Bradley Whitford as Jack, an ambitious, straight-laced detective who finds himself partnered with a drunken, wild-card cop, Dan (Whitford). Fox Television Studios is producing under the company’s international co-production model with filming beginning early in 2010.

Tuesday  A18-49 Analysis: CBS won the A18-49 demo Tuesday night with a 3.5/10, according to final national ratings from Nielsen. ABC’s series debut of V at 8p conquered the time period with a 5.2/14 (as well as delivering 14.3 million total viewers) followed by CBS’ NCIS at 4.3/11. NBC had a turn on top at 9p with The Biggest Loser at 3.8/9 while CBS played second fiddle with NCIS: Los Angeles at 3.6/9. At 10p, CBS was the victor as The Good Wife posted a 2.7/8 and NBC’s The Jay Leno Show came next at 2.0/6.

Lisa Erspamer was tapped as Chief Creative Officer for OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network where she will work in tandem with the senior team to develop and spur programming with the goal to make sure Oprah’s editorial voice is carried across all platforms. Lisa, a 15-year veteran of Harpo Productions has been the co-executive producer of The Oprah Winfrey Show since 2006. She joins OWN in January, reporting to Christina Norman, CEO and based at the network’s headquarters in Los Angeles.

MTV Networks’ Entertainment Group appointed Momita SenGupta as SVP/Production where she will report to John Cucci, COO. This Entertainment Group includes various multi-platform brands such as Comedy Central, Spike TV and TV Land networks and their companion websites and the online sites Atom.com and GameTrailers.com.

Brad Johnson was hired by CMT in the newly-created position as SVP/Comedy Development. Brad will manage all facets of comedy development for the network encompassing sitcoms and reality-based comedy. Based in Los Angeles, Brad will report to Bob Kusbit, Head/Development, CMT.

Philip Pang was named Director/Finance and Commercial Operations with Disney Channels Southeast Asia based in Singapore. Philip manages the commercial strategies, business operations and financial planning for the pay-TV business in this region. Furthermore, Philip will work closely with Anna Woo, VP/Finance and Business Operations for Asia Pacific in Hong Kong and the TV Finance team in Burbank. In his new position, Philip reports to Laura E. Wendt, Managing Director/VP, Disney Channels Southeast Asia.
