This new service is the first to be developed through Nielsen’s Anytime Anywhere Media Measurement (A2/M2) initiative. Fusion combines Nielsen’s National People Meter sample of more than 30,000 TV viewers with NetRatings’ NetView sample of approximately 29,000 panelists. This month Nielsen will test the impact of internet measurement on television panel-quality metrics, installing software meters (including those patented by NetRatings) on the laptops and personal computers of homes installed with People Meters. If the test goes well, Nielsen will roll out the new meters during the 2007-2008 television season.
