~ PRODUCTION & DEVELOPMENT ~

Tribune Broadcasting has a one-hour daily talk show in the works helmed by syndicated radio host Bill Cunningham. Tribune will test the show on specific TV stations it owns including WGN Chicago this summer. Five test episodes will be shot June 12 and 13 at Tribune’s Bradley Place studio in Chicago produced by Richard Dominick, the former executive producer on Jerry Springer. Tribune plans on picking up the show tentatively titled Willie in January 2011 if the test goes well and also will pitch it for national syndication for fall 2011. Cunningham’s syndicated radio show is distributed by Clear Channel’s Premiere Radio Networks to 300 stations. Cunningham, whose political radio program leans conservative, will feature a range of opinionated guests and will highlight a “conflict talk” style similar to NBC Universal’s Jerry Springer, Maury and Steve Wilkos which are currently a part of Tribune’s daytime line-up.

Twentieth Television is also embarking on a test run for a half-hour talk show hosted by former late-night personality Craig Kilborn. The show will early on target access time slots airing for two months on six to eight FOX stations including WNYW/New York and KTTV/Los Angeles.

Actress Laurie Holden (The Shield) is joining AMC’s zombie drama The Walking Dead, playing Andrea a member of the survivor group who can handle a sniper rifle and falls in love with a man twice her age, reports THR. In addition, newcomer Steven Yeun was cast as Glenn.

Casting Call: Living Proof Hair Care is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic male hair stylist to sell the company and its products on TV. Male candidates must be able to connect with customers and be able to educate and sell the company’s products on TV and in person. This person must be articulate and confident with presenting scientific and technological information. East Coast candidates are preferred as the job requires frequent travel to Philadelphia and Boston. TV and film hair stylists are encouraged to apply. Electronic submissions are preferred; email a photo that is not older than six months, resume or bio and a short letter detailing background and interest to Sean De Simone at  [email protected]. Hard copy submissions can be mailed to:  Sean De Simone Casting, P.O. Box 20347, New York, NY 10009.
