Esquire Network has set its new launch date for Monday, September 23 and will kick things off with a two-hour primetime special commemorating Esquire magazines 80th anniversary. Esquire 80th Anniversary Special [wt] will look back at the social, political and cultural forces that shaped the last eight decades, as told through the lens of the magazine, its stories, images and covers. In addition, the network has announced production of two news original series: Brew Dogs [wt], from Custom Productions and Redtail Media, follows Scottish “beer evangelists” who visit different American beer towns to create a locally-inspired draft; and Horse Players, from Go Go Luckey, explores the high-stakes world of professional horse race handicapping.

Promoting the debut of Military Channel‘s The Brokaw Files at the 92nd Street Y on Tuesday night, Tom Brokaw shared all sorts of opinions. Clinton White House? Ran like a college dorm. Obama? Doesn’t roll up his sleeves as much as Brokaw would like him to. Social media? Good way to hear voices we wouldn’t hear otherwise. But we need a national dialogue about some of the viciousness that can be a part of this type of communication. Tune in for more Tom, tonight, when the show debuts at 10p.

The prestigious hosting gigs continue for Neil Patrick Harris. The actor, who’s already been tapped as master of ceremonies for The 67th Annual Tony Awards, has been named host and producer of The 65th Primetime Emmy Awards to be broadcast from NOKIA Theater L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 22 on CBS. This will mark Harris’ second stint as Emmy host, which he emceed to critical acclaim when the program last aired on CBS in 2009. “Neil is the quintessential host – engaging, entertaining and a true showman – with a passion for celebrating the medium we all love. We’re thrilled for him to return for CBS’s broadcast of the Emmy Awards,” said Nina Tassler, President, CBS Entertainment.

The late night antics of the Big Brother gang are heading to TVGN. The network has become the exclusive television destination for Big Brother: After Dark. The live companion show to CBS‘ Big Brother will feature a curated live feed from inside the Big Brother house from 12 to 2a, seven nights a week for 13 weeks, beginning Wednesday, June 26. The show previously aired for seven seasons on Showtime.

More than six weeks after the devastating Boston Marathon bombings, that took the lives of 3 and injured at least 140 people, Brian Williams sits down with 6 amputee survivors at the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital on NBC‘s Rock Center with Brian Williams. In their first group interview, they share their powerful stories of recovery, healing and strength. The episode airs Friday, May 31 at 10p.

Mel Ottenberg, stylist to Rihanna, has been added as the third and final mentor to Style Media‘s Styled to Rock, the new fashion competition series that will search for the next trendsetting designer. Ottenberg joins previously announced mentors Pharrell Williams and Erin Wasson. The show, produced by Shed Media US, Overbrook Entertainment and Marcy Media Films, is slated to premiere later this year.

Myx TV is adding hip hop show Stacks TV to its lineup. The show features guest interviews by Toquon tha MC and video mixes of current and old school music videos by DJ Icy Ice. Catch exclusive interviews with turntablists, DJs, B-Boys and B-Girls, graffiti artists, authors, entrepreneurs and artists. Stacks TV will be broadcast on Myx TV on Tuesdays at 10/9c.
