~ MORE GOOD STUFF ~

The CW is one of the last networks to reveal its 2010-2011 primetime upfront plans and will host its presentation today at Madison Square Garden. Yesterday, though, The CW said Smallville will end its run after the upcoming tenth season. The news was actually spilled by star Tom Welling to the press yesterday morning. Following its ninth season, Smallville will have a total of 195 episodes produced by Warner Bros. Television.

In other news from The CW, the network approved the summer reality series Plain Jane hosted by British fashion guru Louise Roe. The show from Allison Grodner (Big Brother), Rich Meehan and Pete Tartaglia and Sony Pictures Television, will have Roe makeover an average woman both physically and emotionally, then watches as goes on a date with a guy she has a crush on.

Craig Kilborn, former host of The Late, Late Show with Craig Kilborn, is back in the hosting seat for a new program called The Kilborn File produced by Twentieth Television. The half-hour show, shot in Los Angeles in front of a live studio audience, will launch June 28 and air over six weeks on Fox Television Stations in seven markets. The show, which signals Kilborn’s return to television following a six-year hiatus, will showcase his humorous and opinionated viewpoint on pop culture and current events. Kilborn will be joined by celebrities and human interest guests for such segments as the quick-paced “5 Questions” and a rotating “Power Panel” covering today’s big issues. The program will air over the six-week period during a variety of time periods on Fox Television Stations in Los Angeles at 630p; New York, Philadelphia and Boston at 7p; Detroit at 730p; Austin at 10p; and Phoenix at 1030p (all times local).  Kilborn serves as executive producer with Michael Dugan as co-executive producer; Lon Rosen of Lagardere Unlimited negotiated the deal and is also producer.

Evening news anchors from the big three networks will co-host another edition of the Stand Up To Cancer fundraising event.  CBS’ Katie Couric, ABC’s Diane Sawyer and NBC’s Brian Williams will host the fundraiser airing commercial-free on their respective networks September 10 at 8p in addition to being simulcast on Discovery Health, E!, MLB Network, Style Network and HBO. Details on the specific celebrity guests and musical artists making appearances will be announced later. The goal of the on-air event is to raise money and awareness for cancer research. The previous 2008 telecast raised more than $100 million.

E! opens a second season of Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami on June 13 at 10p. The new season will follow the sisters and Khloe’s new husband L.A. Lakers star Lamar Odom as they add a new baby to the mix, manage their DASH boutique and discover new-found tensions between the trio. The series is produced by Ryan Seacrest Productions and Bunim-Murray Productions.

Investigation Discovery (ID) spotlights unsuspecting criminals in the new series Unusual Suspects making its debut June 21 at 10p. A sneak preview of the series will air on ID May 31 at 10p. Each of the one-hour episodes profiles unusual modern-day cases where seemingly respected individuals committed crimes that shocked their communities. LMNO Cable Group produces the series for ID.

Towers Investment Trust, Inc. and Grenax Broadcasting III, LLC, both based in Arizona, filed an asset exchange agreement with the FCC involving KZGL-FM in Flagstaff, AZ and CP BNPH-20070430 ACI-FM in Chino Valley, AZ.
