~ MORE GOOD STUFF ~

FOX approved a third season of Kitchen Nightmares featuring Chef Gordon Ramsay as he travels the US visiting restaurants in dire need of his help. The series is a co-production of ITV Studios and Optomen in association with A. Smith & Co. Productions.

NBC and Donald Trump are reviving The Apprentice which hasn’t been on the air since 2007. NBC would air the new version of The Apprentice this fall and continue with a third season of Celebrity Apprentice next winter. The new Apprentice would stick with many elements of the original one-hour format, where entrepreneurs from various fields would live together and form groups to compete in challenges with Trump appearing at the end of each episode to “fire” the weakest player. The final winner will be given a job within the Trump Organization. Though different from the earlier seasons, Apprentice players who are eliminated will receive some career coaching from Trump himself. Casting has begun for the new Apprentice with production beginning this summer. Mark Burnett Productions and Trump Productions are producing.

The Style Network is debuting its new docu-soap series Jerseylicious this Sunday at 10p. Eight one-hour episodes follow stylists working at the Gatsby Salon, a popular New Jersey salon that is re-opening in a new space. Following the premiere episode a special encore will air at 11p. Endemol USA is producing the series for The Style Network.

Showtime set summer premiere dates for a handful of new and returning series. On June 10, the eighth season of Penn & Teller: Bulls**t! opens at 10p followed by new series The Green Room with Paul Provenza at 1030p. New reality series, The Real L Word, based on the original series The L Word, makes its debut June 20 at 10p. Then on August 16, the comedy Weeds premieres its sixth season at 10p with the new dark comedy The C Word, starring Laura Linney launching at 1030p.

From the annals of television’s history, the entire episode library of General Electric Theater, hosted by then-actor Ronald Reagan has been discovered and restored and yesterday delivered to former first lady Nancy Reagan in honor of the celebration of the late president’s 100th birthday. Many of the 208 episodes of General Electric Theater, filmed from 1954-1962, were thought to be damaged or lost and were recently found in the General Electric/NBC Universal archives. The episodes have now been restored to broadcast quality and will be used in the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, CA. Reagan acted as GE’s goodwill ambassador to its plants during the 1950s throughout the US.

FX’s premiere of new drama Justified on Tuesday at 10p, delivered 2.04 million A18-49 and 4.16 million total viewers. The opening episode also attracted 1.42 million M18-49, the second-highest delivery in this demo for a scripted series debut on basic cable.

Also on Tuesday night at 11p, Oxygen launched new dating competition series Love Games: Bad Girls Need Love Too, which tallied 800,000 A18-49; 624,000 W18-49; and 1.5 million total viewers.
