The fallout from Paula Deen‘s racial slurs continues. Walmart is the latest company severing ties with the celebrity chef. Earlier this week, Caesars Entertainment and Smithfield Foods decided to part ways with Deen. Food Network announced it would not be renewing its contract with Deen last week.
CNN is reviving Crossfire. The political debate show, which originally aired weeknights from 1982 to 2005, will return this fall. The new version will have Newt Gingrich and S.E. Cupp hosting from the right and Stephanie Cutter and Van Jones hosting from the left.

As the options for TV viewing increase and the cost of cable TV rises, many U.S. adults agree that cable is too expensive compared to other alternatives. Yet, they remain reluctant to “cut the cord.” A new CouponCabin.com survey reveals the following: 45% of U.S. adults think cable TV is a waste of money; 81% of U.S. adults are currently subscribers of cable or satellite TV; 11% report they have previously subscribed to cable or satellite TV, but don’t anymore; 31% spend more than $100 per month on cable or satellite TV; and 43% won’t cancel cable TV services because they couldn’t watch live sports programming.
Joey Lawrence and the Harvard Baseball Team are featured in back-to-back season finale episodes of ABC Family‘s Dancing Fools on Friday, July 5 at 6p. First up, Lawrence pops in to surprise host Melissa Peterman, and all-girl dance group The Stajettes battle it out with a duo of dudes known as The Handsome Ladies for the $10,000 prize. Then, the Harvard baseball team shows up and performs Call Me Maybe.
Nick Robinson, who stars as Mel’s teenage nephew Ryder on Melissa and Joey, will participate in a live Twitter chat during the East Coast broadcast of the ABC Family series on Wednesday, June 26 at 8p. Fans should tweet Robinson at @nickjrobinson and include the hashtag #MelissaandJoeyChat.
