Nielsen reports an average of 32.0 million viewers tuned into President Obama’s first address from the Oval Office Tuesday night as he presented plans to clean up the oil spill in the Gulf Coast region. The address was carried live from 8p to approximately 820p on 11 networks including ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, TELE, UNIV, CNN, CNBC, FOXNC, MSNBC and TWC. The combined HH rating for the address was 20.9.

The Style Network bumped up its second season order for Jerseylicious taking the original 10-episode order up to 20. The series is produced by Endemol USA.

Syfy announced it is launching a multi-media marketing campaign to support the second season premiere of Warehouse 13 on July 6 at 9p. Examples of partners working with Syfy are YouTube, Comic Con, Brooklyn Bridge Park and Xbox 360 among others on the multi-faceted campaign to reach viewers through social networking sites, mobile, fast food chains, VOD, summer movies, outdoor 3D screenings and other affiliate promotions. The first season of Warehouse 13, produced by Universal Cable Productions, averaged 4.1 million total viewers and 2.1 million A25-54 viewers based on Live7 DVR data.

~ PRODUCTION & DEVELOPMENT ~

Syfy approved a new unscripted series titled Hunting Hollywood (wt) from the recently formed production company, Shevick*Zupon Entertainment. The six-episode, one-hour docu-series highlights Joe Maddalena, owner of Calabasas, CA-based Profiles in History, one of the world’s largest auction companies specializing in original movie, television and pop culture collectibles. Each weekly episode follows Joe and his team as they scour the world looking for rare and highly-collectible Hollywood memorabilia. Joe and his crew at times search for treasures in people’s basements and attics or even visit with celebrities looking through their personal keepsakes. The episodes end with Joe leading an auction where fans and collectors bid on the items. Executive producers on the series include Jerry Shevick, Mark Zupon and Bruce Toms.

FOX is working on a new game show pilot based on a hit from the UK called The Million Pound Drop produced by Endemol UK. The US version of the pilot will be titled The Money Drop with Endemol USA producing. The Money Drop watches as a group of contestants are given a large cache of cash and then are asked a number of multiple-choice trivia questions. The contestants place their bets on a trap door that represents their choice. If they get a wrong answer, the trap door opens and their money disappears. After eight rounds of questions, the contestants get to keep whatever money is left over if they answer the final question correctly. Production on the pilot will likely begin in August. The original show aired over a live week-long event on Channel 4 in the UK and Channel 4 is expected to order a new batch of Million Pound Drop episodes soon.

Michael Weatherly has reported re-upped with CBS’ NCIS series with a new multi-year contract to continue playing Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo. To date, besides Weatherly, Pauley Perrette (Abby), Rocky Carroll (Leon) and David McCallum (Ducky) have all made new deals to stay on NCIS, as have Mark Harmon (Leroy Jethro Gibbs) and Cote de Pablo (Ziva). Sean Murray (McGee) is still in negotiations.
