She will remain with the company as a board member and in an advisory role during the transition phase. Susan began at MSLO in 2004 just as Martha Stewart was sentenced to a five-month prison stint. Tonight’s Premieres:

~ MORE GOOD STUFF ~
Lifetime Television ordered thirteen episodes of the new original 30m comedy, Rita Rocks from MRC. With a premiere date slated for this fall, the series stars Nicole Sullivan as Rita Clements, a busy mom and wife who finds herself by starting her own garage band. Also starring is Richard Ruccolo and Tisha Campbell-Martin. The series will be paired in a one-hour comedy block with Reba. NBC announced the celebrity family match-ups for the new version of Celebrity Family Feud produced by FremantleMedia North America opening July 1 at 8p and hosted by Al Roker. The celebrities along with five other family members or friends will square off against each other playing on behalf of charities:
Debmar-Mercury’s new weekday entertainment series, The Wendy Williams Show, with exec producer Rob Dauber, debuts July 14, and will be taped in front of a studio audience at All Mobile Video in New York. The daily stripped show will air on FOX O&Os in New York (WNYW at 10a), Los Angeles (KTTV at 1p), Dallas (KDFW at 11a) and Detroit (WJBK at 12p). ~ PRODUCTION & DEVELOPMENT ~
Bravo has two new projects in development:
HBO made a pact with the comedy company Funny or Die which was started by Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Chris Henchy, where it will receive ten half-hours of programming and it will make a financial investment in the associated website, www.funnyordie.com . The television shows will spotlight the comedic talents of the Funny or Die creative team. You may have heard reports about a spinoff for The CW’s hit series Gossip Girl. The show’s creator, Josh Schwartz, says rumors to that effect are premature – there is no spinoff in the works. However, he also says there is potential for one in the future. Brad Garrett will produce and star in an internet series called Dating Brad Garrett, from Sony Pictures TV. The 10 episode series will run starting this fall on Crackle.com, as well as other viral video sites including YouTube, Hulu, VCast and AOL Video. The story lines follows Garrett as he goes out on blind dates with ten different women. The women are chosen by a couple of Garrett’s friends from a pool of submission videos sent into the Crackle video site. If you’re interested in posting your submission video, you can do that starting today. ~ ELSEWHERE IN CYNOPSIS ~
CYNOPSIS DIGITAL – TODAY’S TOP STORY: Broadband video has grown in quality and sophistication in the past year, various new media barons at OnHollywood argued. For young users in particular, the medium has truly arrived. But producers and distributors alike are still playing the waiting game when it comes to adequate monetization. Why brand advertisers remain reluctant to invest in large numbers and when they will come aboard proved points of contention. Optimists laid out ambitious time tables and projected major shifts in media planning budgets from television to online video. Pessimists warned of a “generational gap” on Madison Avenue that will likely persist until younger buyers move up at the agencies. Full edition: CYN DIGITAL. CYNOPSIS KIDS – TODAY’S TOP STORY: School is most definitely out for summer, particularly if you were at The Ziegfield Theatre in NYC last night where Disney Channel premiered its new original movie Camp Rock, with a red carpet filled with the stars of the movie, which included (insert fingers in ears here) Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato, Alyson Stoner, Anna Maria Perez de Tagle, Maria Canals-Barrera, and did I mention Jonas Brothers. Camp Rock premieres on Disney Channel Friday, June 20 at 8p, as well as a simultaneous audio simulcast on Radio Disney and video simulcast on Sprint and MobiTV devices, as well as that night on Family Channel (Canada) and VRAK.TV (Quebec). A preview will be offered on Tuesday, June 17 on Disney Channel on Demand, available to Cablevision iO Digital Cable, Time Warner and Verizon FiOS TV customers. The movie then takes off to bow on ABC (June 21), ABC Family (June 22), Disney.com in DXD (June 23) and then off to the other Disney Channels around the world. Cheers to Dea, Rebecca and our kid/tween escorts. (I believe the shrieking may have subsided by now, so feel free to unplug your ears). Full edition: CYN KIDS. CYNOPSIS INTERNATIONAL – TODAY’S TOP STORY: Belgacom put in a 420 million euro bid for Belgian cable group Interkabel‘s Integan, Inter-media, PBE and WVEM cable TV operators. This counters the offer from the Belgian cable operator’s rival, Telenet, coming in well over the latter’s non-binding 350 million euro agreement. Full edition: CYN INTERNATIONAL. ~ RATINGS ~
