This day in History:
1956 – Elvis Presley appeared on “The Steve Allen Show.”  He was told not to dance and Allen had him sing “Hound Dog” to a real basset hound wearing tails

Answer to Yesterday’s Trivia Question:   A regular cast member of this 60s series was missing his middle finger (lost during WWII) – which you can only tell in two episodes. What show and what character is this?  JAMES DOOHAN – SCOTTY FROM STAR TREK  Kudos to: Josh Eisinger/NY; Scott Wagstaff-Showtime Networks/NY; Rich Paul-Twin Goat Media/NY; Jeff Cederbaum-Tampa Ba Lightning/Tampa; John Kukla-KDFW/Dallas; Dan Whitford-Maximum Direct/Chicago; Cynthia New-CharterMedia/Cape Girardeau; Rob Williams-WEVV/Evansville; George LaFountaine-How I Met Your Mother/LA; Michael Rosenzweig-Primestor Development/LA; Dan Haberer-CREO Entertainment/Playa del Rey; Dennis Treleven-Fox Networks Group/LA; Sheldon Wiebe-EclipseMagazine.com/Calgary

Today’s Trivia Question:   This current sitcom aired an episode in an earlier season where an extra proposed another extra, his girlfriend, during a scene of the show. This was an actual real life surprise proposal and it was worked into the script after gaining permission from the producers.  On what show did this happen?   (Email [email protected] with your answer and be sure to include your name, company, city and time zone. Unofficial rules: Only the second four correct answers from each time zone will be mentioned; and once you’ve been mentioned in any of the Cynopsis editions, you can’t be mentioned again that calendar week.)
