~ DISTRIBUTION, CARRIAGE & CLEARANCE ~

Daytime talk show Katie has been renewed for a second season, says Janice Marinelli, President of Disney-ABC Domestic Television.  “‘Katie’ is the No. 1 new syndicated talk show of the 2012-13 season, and we are thrilled to announce a green light for Season Two,” said Marinelli. “She’s an immensely talented host who has an incomparable ability to connect with her viewers. We also have outstanding station partners and time periods, and look forward to continued success with ‘Katie’ this year and into Season Two.”  Since its premiere and through the week of January 14, 2013, Katie tops all first and second season syndicated talk shows in Households and Total Viewers.  Furthermore, Katie continues to be the #1 new daytime syndicated talk show among W25-54.  Disney-ABC Domestic Television has renewed Katie with its existing stations in more than 95% of the US including the ABC Owned station group.  Other station groups carrying the talker include Allbritton Communications, Belo Corporation, Cox Media Group, Gannett Broadcasting, Hearst Television, LIN Broadcasting, Media General, Meredith, Raycom, Scripps Howard Broadcasting, Sinclair and Young Broadcasting among others.
