Giddish was tapped to play the lead in NBC’s pilot Chase from Jerry Bruckheimer about a U.S. Marshal in charge of a Texas unit that tracks down dangerous fugitives. If Past Life should be resurrected on FOX, Giddish will remain in the role of reincarnationist Kate McGinn.

The CW added David Anders to its cast of Vampire Diaries, playing Jonathan Gilbert, the uncle to Elena and Jeremy, per EW. Anders will appear on the show starting April 15 and will recur throughout the season.

Tim Blake Nelson landed a role on CBS’ drama pilot Chaos about a group of rogue CIA operatives led by Rick Martinez (Freddy Rodriguez) who specialize in taking down bureaucratic gridlock, incompetence and political infighting.
