The competition series American Ninja Warrior, dually airing on NBC and G4 kicks off next month. The two networks are teaming to search for the one athlete to be crowned the first American Ninja Warrior at the national finals in Las Vegas and also capturing the $500,000 cash prize. The series premieres on G4 with a two-hour episode May 20 at 9p and on NBC May 21 at 9p. Comedian Matt Iseman is back as host and he is joined this new season by Olympic gold medalist Jonny Moseley. Angela Sun is the show’s sideline reporter. Following the premieres, new episodes will air on G4 Sundays at 9p and on NBC Mondays at 9p throughout the season. American Ninja Warrior is produced by A. Smith & Co. Productions and Lake Paradise Entertainment.
As part of its 25th anniversary celebration, FOX is dusting off the classic TV series Married… With Children and airing the pilot episode on April 22 at 7p following the 500th repeat episode of The Simpsons. Married… With Children premiered on FOX April 5, 1987 and ran for 11 seasons. Also on April 22 at 8p, the two-hour FOX 25th Anniversary Special will present clips from the network’s library as well as appearances by former cast members of various past series.
HISTORY debuts its new series United Stats of America on May 8 at 10p. Hosted by identical twins and stand-up comedians, Randy and Jason Sklar, the series relates the stories behind interesting and surprising statistics in American history. Future episodes reveal stats on how much money we make and what we spend it on; how long we will live; what we do with our free time and much more. United Stats of America is produced by Left/Right for HISTORY.
Also in May, Spike TV is debuting new episodes of World’s Wildest Police Videos on May 7 at 8p produced by Pilgrim Studios and Pursuit Productions. Following on the next day, Spike TV premieres the new original series Undercover Stings on May 8 at 1030p. Undercover Stings is from the producers of Cops and is filmed on located in such cities as Kansas City, Palm Beach, New Orleans, Savannah and Las Vegas. Each half-hour episode offers viewers an up-close look at the dangerous world of undercover police work.
Travel Channel personality Adam Richman stars in the 11-episode series Adam Richman’s Best Sandwich in America when it bows June 6 at 9p. The weekly series with 10 half-hour episodes and a one-hour finale, journeys with Richman as he visits various locales in search of the most delicious sandwich ever using his own BITE SCALE (B=Bread, I=Interior, T=Taste, E=Eating Experience). Also, as of now, viewers can visit travelchannel.com to vote for a wildcard sandwich to compete for the running for “best sandwich in America.” Voting will close April 19 and the sandwich with the top votes will be unveiled as one of the wildcard contenders in the season finale on August 15. The series is based on an idea by Adam Richman and is produced by Sharp Entertainment for Travel Channel.
Headlined by Kelsey Grammer, the second season of Boss premieres on STARZ August 17 at 10p. The STARZ Original Series is presently filming the second season in Chicago as the plot revolves around fictional Chicago Mayor Tom Kane (Grammer). Lionsgate produces Boss.
Season four of The Real Housewives of New Jersey returns to Bravo’s schedule starting April 22 at 10p. The new season revisits the homes and lives of Caroline Manzo, Teresa Giudice, Jacqueline Laurita, Melissa Gorga and Kathy Wakile through a Jersey summer. Sirens Media, LLC produces the series for Bravo.
On Wednesday this week, FUEL TV, part of Fox Sports Media Group, debuted the motocross adventure series Rip To The Tip. The series features 37 motocross riders as they travel eight days on a 1,500-mile journey from the US border to the tip of Baja California. Each of the five half-hour episodes are repeated on FUEL TV throughout the week and episodes are also available via iTunes for $1.99.
Tuesday’s eighth season launch of Deadliest Catch on Discovery Channel, which was also the series’ 100th episode, amassed more than 3.14 million total viewers. The next new episode of Deadliest Catch airs next week on April 17 at 9p.

AMC is developing a new project, Thief of Thieves with EP/writer Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead) and Chic Eglee (The Shield, Dexter) which is based on Kirkman’s new comic of the same name. The Walking Dead EP David Alpert is also on board as EP of Thief of Thieves along with Kirkman and Eglee. The comic book Thief of Thieves is a new crime adventure published by Kirkman’s Skybound imprint at Image Comics and when it debuted on February 8, it sold out on the same day.
The new miniseries, The Spies of Warsaw is on tap for BBC America’s Dramaville programming umbrella and will be co-produced by the network. The four-part miniseries is based on Alan Furst’s novel of the same name and is adapted by Emmy Award-winning writers Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais. The cast already includes David Tennant (Doctor Who, Casanova) and Janet Montgomery (Black Swan, Entourage) as stars of this spy thriller set in Poland, Paris, London and Berlin in the years prior to WWII. The Spies of Warsaw is produced by Fresh Pictures and co-produced by BBC America, Apple Film for TV Poland in association with ARTE FRANCE and BBC Worldwide. Production begins next month on location in Poland. Executive producers include Richard Fell for Fresh Pictures and Jamie Laurenson for the BBC.
A trio consisting of Emmy Award-winning TV producer Conrad Ricketts (Extreme Makeover: Home Edition), producing partner and TV host David DiVona and tattoo artist Keith Ciaramello are partnering to create the new reality series, Keith’s Tattoo Turnaround. The partners are currently soliciting the show to buyers and all three serve as EPs. The series will follow Ciaramello as he travels the country and works with struggling tattoo shops to help them clean up their act and turn their businesses to success.
Though not official, pop star Britney Spears is close to finalizing a deal to become a judge on FOX’s The X Factor next fall. Reportedly, Spears may receive a $15 million contract to appear on the show in the judge capacity.
FX’s anthology series American Horror Story added French actress Lizzie Brochere for the second season. Brochere will likely play a nemesis for Jessica Lange’s new character.

Tuesday A18-49 Analysis: FOX and NBC shared the #1 spot Tuesday among A18-49 with each network delivering a 2.5/7, according to final primetime national ratings from Nielsen. At 8p, CBS won with NCIS at 3.1/9 and Glee returned to FOX’s schedule in second place at 2.7/8. NBC’s The Voice Results Show did best during 9p at 3.5/9 and CBS’ NCIS: Los Angeles was next at 2.4/6. Then at 10p, ABC’s Body of Proof landed a narrow win at 1.9/5 while a three-way tie occurred for second place between CBS’ Unforgettable, NBC’s Fashion Star and Univision’s La Que No Podia Amar with each posting a 1.8/5.

Alexandra Shapiro has a new and expanded role at USA Network as EVP/Marketing and Digital. Alexandra’s duties cover creative oversight on consumer and strategic marketing, digital, brand efforts, promotions and business development for the network. Alexandra assumes the full marketing scope for the network from Chris McCumber, who was named Co-President, USA Network one year ago, and to whom she continues to report. Alexandra joined USA Network more than ten years ago and most recently was SVP.
Vibe Media | Access Network, operator of the brands Vibe, Uptown, BlackBook and Access Network added David Cohn as EVP/Digital Sales and Marketing. In his new role, David will report to Ari Horowitz, CEO of Vibe Media | Access Network.
Enrique Acevedo has joined Univision Communications Inc. in the company’s News team. Enrique will begin April 23 as Co-Anchor of the late evening news, Noticiero Univision Edicion Nocturna along with Ilia Calderon.
Beginning next Monday, Doug Murray, a film and television lawyer will join the entertainment media law firm Taylor Klein Oballa LLP. Doug has been practicing entertainment law exclusively since 2002. Doug’s hiring expands the Film/TV department at TKO LLP which holds the productions companies Tricon Films & Television, Mongrel Media, Bron Studios and Cactus Three as clients.
Rebecca Lambrecht, previously with ReignDeer Entertainment and Larry Rudolph Management has established a new company called the Chicane Group with offices based in West Hollywood. Chicane Group offers services such as talent producing, artist management as well as a full service travel agency including travel management. The new company will further be involved with consulting for entertainment companies and individuals.
Effective immediately, Litton Entertainment appointed Mark Cooper as Director/Sales. Most recently, Mark was VP/Programming and Acquisitions for the CBS Television Stations Group in New York.
