Don Robert, Senior Vice President of Research at A+E Networks, works across brand teams to help navigate the multi-platform universe. Robert, who will be sharing his expertise in audience measurement at the Cynopsis Future TV Summit on October 17 in New York City, tells Cynopsis about how the massive changes in television will affect content in the future.
Cynopsis: Where do you see TV ten years from now?
Robert: The whole concept of what is “TV” will be much more ambiguous than it is today. Is online content that you view on your at-home TV screen, television? There will still be a big appetite to watch content at a specific time (particularly for sports and for event programming), but it may no longer be the dominant method to watch programming. The TV set itself will just be a means to watch great stories with interesting characters. It is already starting to happen.
