~ DISTRIBUTION, CARRIAGE & CLEARANCE ~

Rive Gauche Television picked up the unscripted true crime series Ice Cold Killers with six one-hour episodes.  The series is produced by m2 Pictures and airs in the US on Investigation Discovery.

~ PRODUCTION & DEVELOPMENT ~

AMC approved a new unscripted original series with the working title Road Show created and executive produced by Laurie Girion (Cheerleader Nation, Welcome to Sweetie Pies).  Road Show (wt) organizes competitions in small American towns highlighting local talent who get the chance to be in the spotlight.  Road Show (wt) is produced by Storyvision Entertainment and distributed internationally by Sony Pictures Television.  AMC also is renewing its unscripted series Small Town Security for a second season produced by Left/Right Films.  Both programs are slated to premiere in second quarter of 2013.

Writer/creator Julian Fellowes is planning on writing a sequel to Downton Abbey.  Fellowes related this news at a recent British Academy Film and Television Academy screenwriters lecture.  The spinoff show would explore how the Earl and Countess of Grantham, played in the current series by Hugh Bonneville and Elizabeth McGovern first met.  The show would cast younger actors to play the Earl and Countess.  Fellowes indicated the spinoff would be broadcast after the end of Downton Abbey.

Former Lost star Ken Leung has joined NBC’s midseason soap Infamous in a recurring role.  Leung’s role in Infamous, about a female detective (Meaghan Good) who goes undercover among the wealthy family she grew up in to solve a murder mystery, will be that of a fellow detective working on the case.  Leung is currently recurring on CBS’ Person on Interest and also recently booked a run on ABC’s Zero Hour.

Michael Trucco has been cast in a recurring role on ABC’s soap Revenge, reports TVLine.  He will play Nate, a street-smart, charismatic and somewhat ruthless brother of new Hamptons resident Kenny (JR Bourne).  Trucco can be currently seen in a recurring role on CBS’ How I Met Your Mother.  His appearance on Revenge will begin later this year.

Casting Call: A new docu-soap program, airing on a major cable network, is casting women who are actively planning their wedding even though they are NOT yet engaged.  Have you dreamed of your wedding day since you were a teenager? Do you have stacks of tear sheets or scrapbooks of your vision? Is your mother also eager for you to get married? Are you eager to be the bride but lack a boyfriend or has your boyfriend not yet proposed?  To be considered for this show, send an email to: [email protected] and include a brief bio with your name, age, occupation and location.  Please include how long you have been planning your wedding, how often you think of your wedding day and describe your vision of your wedding day.  Also describe your relationship with your mother and detail your status, if you are 100% single or in a current relationship.  Attach a few candid photos and any visuals about your wedding day.
