Good Morning. It’s Monday, May 1, 2006, and this is your first early morning briefing.   More fall pickups ordered by NBC including Medium, Crossing Jordan and Las Vegas.  These three join the three Law & Order series officially getting the pickup last week, and ER, not to mention a slew of pilot orders announced earlier including The Black Donnellys and Kidnapped.  * MORE GOOD STUFF * Lifetime has chosen to pass on a 4th season of is drama series Missing, starring Vivica A. Fox and Mark Consuelos.

And just when you thought maybe you’d seen enough from Danny Bonaduce – VH1 thinks otherwise.  Breaking Bonaduce reality series will be back in the VH1 Celebreality block on Sunday nights with eight more episodes in October.  Also return this fall to the Celebreality block will be Hogan Knows Best, Flavor of Love, My Fair Brady and Celebrity Fit Club.

In the late 90s, Old Navy featured its beloved pooch, Magic, and now they want to find a new Magic to star in their holiday 2006 advertising campaign and make history. From June 23 through July 7, people can vote for their favorite dog star.   * EXECUTIVE MOVES * Victoria Hoffman joins the staff at Cynopsis as Director/Ad Sales & Marketing for Cynopsis: Multicultural Edition.  Based in Florida, Victoria will oversee all ad sales for Cyn: MCE daily email edition as well as the daily audio podcast.   Victoria has more than fourteen years of international media sales and marketing experience having worked at entertainment companies including Viacom and most recently, Sony Pictures.  Originally from New York, Victoria has spent significant time traveling and living abroad. Wexler Video has promoted Melody Goede to VP/Marketing and Business Development and Don Rohrer to VP/Post Production Services. Both will oversee business development for the company; Melody will manage marketing and production; and Don will oversee broadcast IT and post production operations, rentals and service. In addition, Erica Bell has joined the company as Manager/Production Services. She will manage the staffing of freelancers and ENG crews. The  marketing firm, Cornerstone, has expanded its Lifestyle division and hired Michael Adasko and Claudine Goin as Project Mangers; Kimberlee Mar and Steve Lowenthal as Jr. Account Managers; and Coleman Feeney as Lifestyle Coordinator. Bob A. Hall has been upped to President/General Manager of KFSN/Fresno, where he will report to Walter Liss, President/ABC Owned Television Stations. MGM Studios has named Perry Stahman as President/Domestic Theatrical Marketing, supervising all theatrical marketing activities for MGM’s theatrical distribution unit, unveiled as part of MGM’s revitalization strategy in March.  The release of several high profile films this year will kick off MGM’s domestic theatrical distribution business in North America.   * RATINGS * Thursday – A18-49 Analysis: CBS maintained its Thursday night winning streak with a 6.6/18 A1849, according to fast affiliate ratings from Nielsen Media Research. NBC, also up in the ratings, came next with 4.0/11, followed by FOX 2.3/6, ABC 2.1/6, WB 1.7/5, UNIV 1.5/4, UPN 1.0/3 and TELE 0.8/2. CBS began their sweep at 8p with Survivor Panama taking the lead at 5.8/18. Then at 9p, CBS’ CSI overwhelmed the rest with an 8.4/22. At 9p, Without a Trace on CBS with a 5.5/15 narrowly won over NBC’s ER at 5.2/14.
