Good morning. It’s Monday, May 16, 2005 and this is your first early morning briefing. NBC begins upfront week with its announcement to media buyers this afternoon at 3pm. The rumors continue to swirl around NBC potential fall schedule. While the schedule itself remains quite unclear, all the rumors do point to the following new additions and subtractions: Rumored Fall 2005 NBC Schedule (Official Schedule here tomorrow)
ABC is scheduled to make its presentation on Tuesday, and the rumors for its schedule include the following new projects:
WB is also scheduled to present tomorrow, and naturally there are rumors surrounding the Frog as well:
Fox presents on Thursday, so the rumors are even less concrete, but here’s what being suggested:
Tonight’s Finales: * NEW ORDERS / DEVELOPMENT / PRODUCTION *
Comedy Central has ordered up a sketch/variety show pilot starring comedian Sarah Silverman. The pilot is scheduled to shoot in late summer. At MTV the network has ordered a new reality series called Run’s House, with cameras in the home of rap artist Reverend Run, who is part of the rap group Run-DMC. Run and hsi wife Justine have five children, between the ages of 9 adn 21. MTV is looking at a fourth qtr premiere. * MORE GOOD STUFF *
Telepictures syndicated series Celebrity Justice will not return in the fall, per Broadcasting & Cable. The program is likely to continue in production until the end of its run. MSNBC plans to move forward with a new series with anchor host Rita Cosby, who makes the move to MSNBC from Fox News. The show is expected to join the schedule in 4th qtr. While Oxygen network continues with its fourth season of Girls Behaving Badly, the series also prepares for its first season in syndication this fall. Also, the network is preparing a pair of spin-offs to the original called Kids Behaving Badly (10 eps ordered) – same format of hidden camera pranks, this time with kids instead of adults; and Girls Behaving Badly: Revenge of the Boys (5 eps ordered). The spinoff series will air both on Oxygen (Kids on Saturday mornings premiering June 25; Boys will air on five consecutive weeknights beginning July 25 at 10p). The Kids edition will also appear on Oh! Baby, the VOD platform for Oxygen where 10 eps will be available for viewing. Weekend Box Office Estimates: May 13-15, 2005 * EXECUTIVE MOVES*
